Not your typical rental property! Spacious and bright with open floor plan decorated with comfort and style in mind. Located in the desirable, quiet north end section of Lewes Beach. Walk to the Yacht Club and the inlet for surf-fishing. A short walk to the beach with inverted floor plan offers lovely views of dunes from the front and gorgeous sunsets over the canal in the rear. The second floor boasts a spacious and comfortable living room/sun porch with flat screen TV. Just off of the LR is the deck with gas grill and seating perfect for sipping a glass of wine while watching the incredible sunset! The kitchen is well equipped with Jenn Air stove, GE dishwasher/refrigerator and large island with 2nd sink. A cheerful breakfast room adjoins the kitchen. Perfect for family dining with large farm house style table and open to the kitchen and living room is the dining room with a bay window overlooking pine trees with dunes in the background. There is a wet bar adjoining the dining room which makes the second floor perfect for entertaining with it's open space and beautiful views.

The second floor also consists of a spacious and nicely furnished master bedroom with a TV, plenty of closet space and an adjoining half bath. A full bathroom in the hallway completes the second floor.

The first floor boasts another living room also with a TV perfect for some quiet time or send the kids down to play games or just hang out! Two bedrooms, full bathroom, laundry room and computer nook complete the first floor.

Central a/c throughout entire house and recessed lighting throughout 2nd floor. Two car attached garage, an outside shower and a large backyard make this the perfect family beach house!

About owner/manager

We are a fourth generation Lewes family and have spent our summers in this house since it was built in 1958. Our ancestors were sea captains living on Pilottown Road in the 1800s. Needless to say we are deeply rooted in Lewes with fond memories of fun-filled, crab picking, lazy, hazy, crazy days on the beach in front of our house! Fond memories of playing horse shoes, croquet and camping out in the back yard still exist… We are hoping to retire here in the near future -- we live in Bryn Mawr, PA and try to spend as much time as we can in Lewes. My sister who is the co-owner lives with her husband in Cockeysville, MD.

Our home has been lovingly maintained since our parents had it built as a small cottage. We spent every summer here since my sister and I were born. As we all aged, it was decided that we needed more creature comforts and more room. So, we raised the cottage, had it architecturally redesigned and custom built to suit our very specific needs! I think you will find our home very comfortable and accommodating!

What makes this house unique

Situated in one of the nicest sections of Lewes Beach and only steps to the beach. Just a short bike ride or walk to the historic and lively town of Lewes and Cape Henlopen State Park. A very comfortable home complete with all of the amenities required for an enjoyable week at the beach!
