A great place to relax!! Lots of added touches that make this a great place to escape to!
Clean, extra comfy and well maintained property. Private location and back patio area are perfect in design and a place to unwind.
Bruce, we're so glad you had a relaxing stay! Enhancing relaxation is our major goal with the casita. We want our guests to have everything they need for the perfect NM vacation!
Everything was exactly what I was told it would be! No hidden surprises!
Very beautiful and clean casita about 6 miles from Taos. The owners made this an easy experience and we were pleasantly surprised how nice the property is! So clean and upkept very well! I would recommend this property to anyone headed to Taos or Santa Fe.
Thank you!!
Michael, so glad you enjoyed your stay! We keep the casita in great condition so it's easy for our guests to relax and forget the rest of the world!
Great Home!
The casita was great. It has a very open living/dining area and nice furnishings. The kitchen is also well equipped. We had a great weekend skiing and this home is very convenient to Sipapu. It also works well with the main house if you have a larger party. We look forward to staying here again in the future.
Brandon, we're always so glad to hear that our guests had a good time and we look forward to your return visit! Beverly
Cozy Casita
Our family took a spur of the moment trip to check out the New Mexico skiing. The casita was absolutely lovely. It was built with updated finishes and was just perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything one would need to cook meals. My kids are picky when it comes to food so that was great for us. It is a guest house to a bigger residence on the property which I hadn't realized but wasn't an issue at all. We especially enjoyed the fireplaces and we liked being a little outside of Taos village as it was pretty crowded. It didn't have a washer/dryer which would have been nice but our stay was 4 days so it worked out. Beverly was very helpful with suggestions of what to do and where to eat. We were even able to text her when we had an issue with wifi and she responded immediately. I would definitely recommend the casita.
Karen, we're so glad your family selected Casita Santos for your trip. We have plans for installing a stacked W/D in the casita. Also, our internet provider is installing fiber optic in our neighborhood so we expect to get our more reliable connection soon! We hope your family will come stay with us again!
Excellent!!
Everything was absolutely perfect! We enjoyed coffee in the mornings on the back patio and the hot tub in the evenings. Town was very close by, so we could go shopping and site seeing whenever. This cabin was a perfect get away and very homie!:)
So glad you had a good time, Salida! We also love having our morning coffee on the patio. The air always smells so fresh its just a great way to start a new day. And, really, could there be a better way to end your day than stargazing from the hot tub? Thank you so much for being our guest at Casita Santos.
What a Wonderful place
What to say about this Casita? When we were looking at the pics and description it sounded wonderful but no reviews made us a bit leery. Knowing how we felt I think it’s important to write a review.
I can say without a doubt this is a great place. We live in Dallas and the drive out was pretty easy. The Casita itself is right off hwy 518 and just a couple hundred feet past SMU Fort Burgwin (easy to find Fort Burgwin in Google Maps).
The Casita is massive compared to any hotel suite you would ever stay in. The great room is huge with a couple couches, dining table, another sitting table, TV and really cool fire place. The kitchen is well appointed with pretty much everything you have at home. The master bedroom and bath are both nice sized and easy for two people to share. Finally there’s the back private garden area with a couple lounge chairs, table and chairs and most important a private Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi worked very well and appears to be brand new. There is a 5 ft stone fence surrounding the garden so you have complete privacy.
So that’s the basics. What hasn’t been described is just how beautiful and well done they made this Casita. The fit and finish of the building itself is very nice. Huge wood beams in the family room. Really nice looking granite in the kitchen and bathroom. The furniture throughout appears to be handpicked and each is unique and interesting. Personal tastes and preferences vary but this place just feels like New Mexico to me and I wouldn’t change much if it was my own property.
Beverly the owner was extremely helpful with advice and tips on things to do before the trip. She even answered a few questions while we were there.
There is another Casita a little ways down the property owned by the same people. But other than a shared parking area you have no idea the other unit exists. We never once heard or saw the other guests except in the parking lot.
For the amenities, comfort, location and price I don’t think you will find a better choice in or around Taos! It really was a great place to stay while enjoying the surrounding area. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Robert, thanks so much for your gracious review. We stay in the casita often, so we've outfitted it for our own comfort as much as our guests'! We look forward to your return visit!
