Fall in Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

We, 2 retired couples, spent 3 nights in Copper House. The house has been recently remodeled and has all the necessities needed. Both bedrooms are inviting and the main floor common area is spacious. Entire house is immaculately clean. Complimentary lattes and ice cream are provided at the local cafe.

This is the closest place to Yellowstone you can find; only a 5 minute drive to the west gate. The little town of West Yellowstone is within walking distance. We had a fabulous time and if returning in the future would certainly stay here again.

When we arrived we were a little late in contacting Mr. Richards. Cell reception in the park is not very good. We apologized and he very graciously said there was no problem. We told him where we were and he gave us the final driving details. House was a little difficult to local because it sits off the street and had no permanent signage. But he arrived almost immediately after we did. He gave us maps of the town and pointed out his favorite spots and which businesses to avoid. The Richards couldn't have been better hosts.

If you are planning on visiting Yellowstone, you can't go wrong with Cooper House.

This place was more than we expected!

  • 5 of 5

So clean, plenty of space...5 minutes from west entrance to Yellowstone. Although there weren't closets or storage for our clothes in the bedrooms, did not find this to be a problem at all. Geoff met us when we got there and was very helpful with the workings of the house as well where places were in the town laid out on a map he provided. Plenty of reading material about the park available. Would highly recommend! Thanks Geoff and Billie.

Our Time in West Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

The house definitely met our needs. The landlord stopped by and gave us many tips about the area. We found many little extras that made our stay very comfortable, ie: coffee, soap, hair dryer, and laundry soap just to name a few. We flew into Salt Lake City from the East Coast, so it helped that I did not have to pack these items or buy them on my first trip to the grocery store. The town of West Yellowstone is very easy to get around. We ate at several town restaurants, and attended a play at Playbill Theater. This was a nice change to park activities. Speaking of the Park, access is a breeze from Cooper House..

Great house, minutes from Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

Great house, very close to the entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Geoff met us at the property when we arrived and was very nice and helpful - he had a map of West Yellowstone with popular visitor spots, restaurants, ect marked out. . House was fully stocked with anything we may need - laundry soap, games, fully stocked kitchen. We would definitely stay here again.
