I fell in love with the property based on its location and potential. An original 1919 Craftsman house, I have spent the past 13 years rebuilding and expanding as a historic reconstruction. Keeping the historic charm but also adding the conveniences and cleaniness of a modern property.

Beautiful Home and Personalized Service

My husband & I took my Mom up to Santa Barbara last weekend for an early Mothers Day Trip. Mom had never been so it was a quick 90 minute drive from L.A. to this beautiful home we stayed in. Gonzalo the property manager met us and gave us the key and showed us the place. He was so kind and answered all of our questions. The rental was modern with a nice kitchen area, living room area, and most important to me nice comfortable beds with good bedding. We're talking 500++ thread count sheets! Our favorite part was the front porch which is private and has a table and chairs to sit out on and drink wine and eat nibbles. The home is only a 5 block walk to State street. We didn't need to drive anywhere from the house. David the owner was very easy to work with as well. He answered all of my questions and made the rental transaction easy. I must end on a personal note. When the 3 of us got back to the house after our 1st day exploring Santa Barbara on the doorstep was a beautiful arrangement of flowers that Gonzalo had picked for my Mom with a nice note. It was really touching and made my Mom so happy. We would definitely stay at this rental again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Santa Barbara or the surrounding areas. Comfort and Convenience - A Winning Combo

This delightful unit is tucked at the end of a driveway behind a fence so provides a great sense of privacy. It is immaculately kept, comfortable beds, pristine bath and kitchen. We didn't have a chance to enjoy the lovely patio but had we had more time could easily have lingered over coffee in the morning or wine in the evening in this sanctuary. Our host was welcoming and very helpful. This is a pleasant 15 minute walk straight up to State Street for lots of shopping and dining. A short drive to all the popular sites. Don't miss the Santa Barbara Zoo. It is a hidden gem. (the only reason we didn't not give this 5 stars was that there were a number of overhead lights out. I reported to our host who said no one had every reported these to him before so understandable he had not addressed but promised to make sure all was corrected for next guests)

Perfect Santa Barbara Getaway

My family of 4 was in Santa Barbara for a family wedding. The thought of being trapped in an expensive hotel room with 2 teenagers was horrifying. This Property was perfect for us. David (the Owner) was every easy to work with and returned my emails quickley. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space. The location is great, getting to downtown or to the freeways was very easy. The outside patio is a very peaceful place to unwind and relax with a glass of wine. The property is set up in a way that you don't feel like you are invading in the owners space. We will definitely be back. Thanks David

Great place to stay!

This is a great place to stay - very comfortable and in a great location. It is within walking distance to great Mexican restaurants and State Street. We didn't have a car, but managed to get around using the electric shuttle once we walked to State Street. The neighborhood was very quiet and seemed very safe. I highly recommend staying here!

Spectacular location in a spectacular city

Very comfortable, well appointed, and private rental with the added bonus of a beautiful flagstone courtyard and outdoor dining. The owner (David) and manager (Gonzalo) were delightful in every way and their recommendations for dining, wine-tasting, and must-do activities (Botanical Gardens, Santa Barbara Mission, Santa Barbara Courthouse, the Presidio, Montecito, wine country routes, etc.) were spot on. A most enjoyable visit for two friends celebrating their pending retirements. Go; you will be happy that you did!!
