Drive into the heated underground parking garage and enjoy the gracious amenities of Base Camp One. Completed in 2009, Base Camp One is one of Colorado's newest ski in/ski out premier mountain residences. Our comfortable residence offers a beautifully appointed 2 Bedroom and 2 Bath with stone fireplace that is steps away from the main ski/bike lift, swimming pool, hot tub and fresh mountain air. Fraser river is nearby with gold medal fishing and a Jack Nicklaus designed Granby (Headwaters) Golf Course. Excellent (free in summer)Lift-Fed Biking/Hiking trails on property (You may park your bikes right out the back door). Ski and Bike rentals are available seasonally. Rocky Mountain National Park, the Never Summer, Indian Peaks Mountain Range, Lake Granby and Grand Lake are also nearby.

Queen bed in master with spacious shower and dual sink. 2 twin beds in 2nd bedroom across the hall from full bath/shower. Queen sleeper sofa in living area. Walk out your back patio for ground level access to the ski lift. Private Wi-Fi, a 60" television and a BBQ grill on the back patio await your visit.

City Market Supermarket is only 2 miles away, located across SR 40 adjacent from the main entrance.

Numerous visitor services are available in the quaint mountain town of Granby, only four miles away. Sulphur Ranger district office is 2.5 miles away off SR 40 before downtown Granby, CO. Winter Park is 16 miles away with numerous summer activities.

The hearth room just down the hall or the wood burning fire pit outside Base Camp provide an easy oasis or gathering after a day of mountain biking, skiing or hiking. This room has a large screen TV, large fireplace, wireless internet, and plenty of luxury seating. The Granby Ranch Grill will be opening for the winter season with a new menu and is a dozen steps away from the back patio. Granby Ranch is a beautiful backdrop for many weddings too! Handicap accessible.

Loved HomeAway, loved Granby Ranch!

This was my first time using HomeAway and I had a great time!

The place was really great! It was absolutely beautiful, far better than I expected. The wifi was rock-solid, although cell service was pretty much non-existent (T-Mobile). The place was well stocked, with a good (and affordable!) super market close-by. The place was clean and comfortable. There was tons to do. I particularly liked the ability to take a ski lift to the top of the mountain and hike down. Incredible views!!!

We were surprised at the difference between a HomeAway and getting a normal hotel. With all the fees, this place was about $20 more expensive than the super-cheap motel we were comparing to. The process of finding and paying for the hotel was super easy. I will definitely be traveling via HomeAway again.

Such a gem!

So glad we booked this place, it was perfect for our little group! Especially grateful for the quick response time and flexibility with date changes. Check in was a breeze, the unit was clean and tidy, and the complex was pretty quiet all weekend even though most of us were there for a wedding. We used the grill a few times and utilized the hot tub a LOT. There's a grocery store close by and a few good breakfast options in "town." Would definitely recommend this for summer time - lots of hiking and biking trails and running paths. Would definitely like to return sometime. Loved it, thanks for everything!

Excellent Location, but a few snags

This is our second visit to Granby Ranch in the last 2 years.

We stayed at another nearby condo during the previous trip. Let me start by saying that this condo is extremely conveniently located. I would give it a higher rating if we didn't have a couple of issues at check in (more on that later). There are only a handful of condos at Base Camp One that have ground floor patio access to the lift area. This is one of those few. The lifts are literally just steps away from the private patio. It was great for lunch breaks, water and beer breaks, and other random breaks from a long day of skiing. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the open living room and dining room was cozy. We did have a couple of issues at check in. VRBO lists the check in time as 10:00 AM. We arrived at about 11:00, only to find out that check in wasn't until 3:00 PM. I contacted the owner and he was quick to respond, although there wasn't anything that could be done at that point in time. When we finally got access at 3:00 and walked into the room, it had clearly not been cleaned yet. The beds were unmade, towels on the floor, etc. I again contacted the owner who was quick again to respond. Unfortunately there was a miscommunication with the cleaning company and the room hadn't been cleaned. This resulted in us having to wait around another three hours before gaining access to the soon to be clean room. A short note on the Base Camp One lodge as a whole: The entire building seemed to be a bit dirty and not well kept. Trash cans overflowing, public restrooms not very clean, and common areas very dusty and dirty. Overall though, unit 109 is nice and is in a superb location.

Great Location and Well Stocked

This was our second year to stay in this condo. The proximity to the ski lifts and rental area cannot be beat. In 6 days we only left the condo twice, once to go to the store which is just down the road and once to go into Winter Park to eat dinner and let the little kids sled (for free) at Hideaway Park. The condo had all of the cookware I needed and previous tenants had left an assortment of spices and condiments which came in handy. I contacted the owner twice during the week of my stay and he immediately responded and was wonderful to work with. My only negative experience was that the sofa bed had not been cleaned under and the coffee table had a lot of food and crumbs under it when moved. My kids wanted to sleep in the living room and when I moved the table and pulled the bed out, it was gross! All other surfaces were very clean. Even the big, tiled shower was spotless. I highly recommend this condo to anyone traveling with small children. When you have to carry ski equipment for more than one person, this location is priceless!
