Change in plans

We ended up moving to another property, so I cannot review the Pine Drive Cabin. We moved to a house on Honey Creek.

Great Weekend

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful house with a beautiful view. It was a great weekend. Too bad it rained all weekend, but not too far from Eureka Springs. Gotta try the giant ice cream cones at The Short Stop too.

Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

The setting for this vacation home is absolutely beautiful. There were no immediate neighbors and for the most part it was really quiet. Lots of wildlife to watch. The deer came through everyday and weren't the least bit shy. We walked through the neighborhood everyday and found the people to be very friendly and helpful. Plenty of deer around during our walks too! The house was comfortable for the 4 of us. Not a lot of seating in the great room for more than the 4 of us. The only room that offers total privacy is the master bedroom on the main floor. This could be an issue for couples vacationing together. The lower level offers semi-privacy but the bed choice is either single beds or pull-out. Also be aware that if you are light sensitive while you sleep the shades are not room darkening and the loft area has windows with no covering at all. The master bedroom has just 1 window so it remained "darker" in the early morning. The kitchen had cooking and eating utensils but were limited to size and number of plates, bowls and glasses. There was 1 wine glass and no small juice size glasses. There were 8 bowls that were a little large for a bowl of cereal. No large mixing bowls or small cereal bowl size. The cookware was okay for cooking for 4 but a larger group may have trouble cooking a large meal. There were no baking dishes for casseroles but we did leave a suggestion to provide those for the future guests. Plenty of towels provided in the bathrooms and washer and dryer worked well. Beds are comfortable and there were blankets available if needed. The house was tastefully decorated throughout. The decks had great views and we sat outside every morning. There is no shade on any of the decks once the sun gets overhead until late in the day when it begins to set. Overall this place is just what we wanted. Quiet and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The store at the junction of Rt 127 and Rt 62 is limited on what they carry but the food was really good. If you go be sure to get the ice cream cone but be aware that the "peewee" size is plenty big!!! If you go to Eureka Springs and want a good Italian restaurant go to Ermilio's. It was soooo good we went back a second time! They are only open from 5-9 and they get busy so go early.

We would definitely stay here again if we ever travel back to that area. It was such a restful place to stay. A true relaxing vacation spot.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your detailed review... this will be a help to future guests. The new wine glasses arrived the day after you checked in, so we didn't get them to the house before your stay... sorry about that. We will add juice glasses and the other items you commented on so that the kitchen will have a more diverse supply of cookware. I appreciate you sharing your experience and I'm glad to hear that you had a great vacation and enjoyed Eureka Springs. Thanks again.

Great Experience

  • 5 of 5

We booked the cabin for a family get together and had a great time. The cabin is plenty large enough to allow a little quite time for grandma but central enough to enjoy everyones company. I loved sitting out on the decks in the morning just watching the wildlife. One day we have 4 deer come almost right up to us. We gave them some apples and they loved them. Fun was had by all and I would recommend this cabin in the woods to everyone.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to send such a great review! We really appreciate it. I'm sure our wild "pet" deer appreciated the apples too! Have a great summer. You would be happy to welcome you back anytime.

secluded getaway near to Bentonville and Eureka Springs

  • 4 of 5

My group of six travelers loved the first class cabin overlooking Beaver Lake. While we initially were looking for something nearer Eureka Springs (40 min. away), we were pleased with the closeness of Bentonville (30 min. away). The only thing preventing me from giving this cabin 5 stars is that the roadsigns getting there in the local community were very misleading. We got lost many times trying to get back due to either no road signs, misleading road signs, or signs not as shown on maps or GPS.

The neighborhood was nice. sitting on the upper decks was very comfortable anytime of day. In addition, I appreciated the call from the realtor the day before check-in to make sure everything was OK. The kitchen was complete except for a blender or wine glasses. Overall, a lovely extended weekend with friends. I recommend for 55+ since we fall in that catagory, but be aware of many steps inside and out.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review! Lost Bridge Village does have somewhat of a spiderweb of roads... They all connect to each other, but it is a bit confusing the first couple of trips in and out of the neighborhood. I'll put together some better directions for future guests.
