Great time with family!

  • 5 of 5

This home was exceptional---the view was the best we've seen and we've stayed at several mountain homes over the past few years. Our grandchildren enjoyed the train ride at Bryson City & the waterfalls nearby. It will be a vacation we'll all remember as being filled with fun & good memories.

Beautiful view, beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

What a magnificent view this home has! I could sit and look out at the beautiful mountains all day. The home is so beautiful and clean! Love the floor plan! We loved the covered porch and screened in porch and we grilled out and had our dinner on the side deck every evening looking out at the magnificent view. We had so much fun gathered around the fire pit at night. The landscaping to this home is beautiful and the fresh flowers on the front porches was such a nice touch. One evening we took a walk down the road behind the cabin and it was so beautiful and relaxing. I really look forward to returning to this little slice of heaven!

What a view ...

  • 5 of 5

The first thing that stood out about this charming home was the affordability. Next; the amazing view that the pictures just cannot do any justice for. It's like an overlook you would find on the Blue Ridge Parkway, except it's all for you during your stay. I spent most of my time on the porch just admiring the beautiful scenery and dreaming of my own future mountain home. The screened-in portion of the porch was handy when the heavy rain fell on our last day there.

The interior of the home was clean and well kept and it had everything we needed though we did bring a few necessities as recommended. The beds were comfy as well as the living room furniture, though to me, the only furniture that mattered was the rocking chairs on the porch. Cellular signal wasn't as bad for us as I thought it would be based on previous reviews and the Wi-Fi was adequate.

Also a big plus for this home is its proximity to a few attractions. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only half a minute down the main road and Soco Falls is less than ten minutes. Maggie Valley has a lot of neat shops and restaurants but it isn't a walkable down town like I prefer, but Waynesville is only a few more minutes away. And even the drive to Asheville goes by in a breeze.

Without any doubt, I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a place to relax in the mountains. I'm not sure if you could find a better view, and I almost guarantee you will not find a bargain comparable to this one. I'd love to stay again and I most certainly plan on doing so in the near future. Check it out. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Great vacation with the family!

  • 4 of 5

Just got back from my vacation here. The family had a great time. This property is wonderful. House is very clean and seemed well maintained. Kitchen has all the normal modern features. There is a washer/dryer, but no laundry soap. Views are amazing, and as everyone has already said, the photos just don't do it justice.

Location is fantastic. Cherokee is next door, Maggie Valley is quaint, Smokies are around the corner, Asheville is down the road. Even made day trips to SC and TN without much bother. We did sooooo much during the days, then came back home to enjoy the wonderful views and peaceful setting.

The only complaints that knock it down to 4 stars: the master bed was VERY rocky. The missus and I did not sleep very well, but my son in the guest queen had no issues. Would also have liked to find a hatchet in the provided wood box, as it proved a little hard to light a fire without proper kindling. Both were only minor inconveniences, though.

Overall, very, very happy with our stay. We ran out of time to do all we wanted to, and hated leaving the clean mountain air. This place will stay on my favorite list for a return trip, guaranteed!

Majestic, relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

The pictures of this property really don't do it justice! Even with some rainy weather, the views are phenomenal! The house was impeccably clean, super comfy beds, and was stocked with everything we could need (aside from food of course). Our cell phones had little signal and very limited internet use, but we were there to be outside and unplugged anyway so it didn't bother us! We have two young children (2 and 4) and felt very safe when playing outside. The kids loved running up and down the driveway and the stairs! We are looking forward to coming back!!

excellent

  • 5 of 5

The house was very clean and well-maintained. Great water pressure and water heater. The views were awesome, and the house was easy to find. The kitchen had every thing we needed (coffee pot/toaster/blender/etc.) there was a washer and dryer and a grill too. The beds were comfy and the AC worked great (there were plenty of extra blankets/linens).

Only downsides: cell reception was very low and the internet was slow.

I would definitely rent here again for my next visit.
