Perfect Place for a Large Group

  • 5 of 5

This was our family’s second stay at the House on Mason’s Bend. It is the perfect place for a large group. There is plenty of room for everyone. The house is well stocked, super clean and comfortable. The hosts are very accommodating. We look forward to the next time our extended family gets together at this great property!

Great riverfront getaway

  • 5 of 5

This really is a delightful house. Aesthetically pleasing, roomy, comfy. Was there with nine of my friends and we never had to compete for space. Beautiful fireplace on a raised hearth, which, given the weather outside, we kept going all day. And frankly, the best stocked/equipped kitchen I've encountered in 30 years of renting properties. Everything you could want, nearly every gadget, is there, including a fine assortment of spices and oils. This is important, given the relative seclusion of the place. About the only concern I can think of is the sound coming from nearby Hwy. 126. Not an issue in the winter, with the windows closed and the rain falling, but I wonder how it would affect the experience in the busier summer months. Regardless, I plan on coming back here.

Perfectly stocked and organized home

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the location very much, the house had every detail you need including a bag to carry firewood from the neatly stacked pile of firewood by the shed. Plenty of towels, linens and cooking supplies. Get some groceries on your way and you'll feel comfortable and at home here. Will definitely be back. No complaints. When I had a question, the owner was quick to respond, also. Plenty of fun in the area! Whitewater on the McKenzie River and waterfalls nearby to explore. Takoda's on 126 to dine out.

Absolutely one of our most favorite VRBO homes!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful stay on the Mackenzie River. Our family had four generations staying together in this beautiful home from ages 89 to 4 months. It was a perfect setting to relax, explore, hike, kayak, mountain bike, fly fish, and just hang out together. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, condiments, and even treats! The house floor plan was perfect. Large enough that everyone had space, but cozy and set up for good conversation and lots of comfortable places to sit. The master bedroom was incredible and set apart from the other rooms. We LOVED it!!

Car: recommended

Located about 40 miles east of Eugene, you will find this beautiful river house located right on the McKenzie River. Step out onto the deck and watch rafters and fisherman go by on the river. You can go white water rafting, golfing at the wonderful nearby Tokatee golf course, Ranked 'One of the best in Oregon', fishing, hiking, boating at the several nearby lakes, go to a Duck game, or just relax and listen to the sound of the river on the deck. Sisters and Bend are about 1 hour away. Eugene 30 minutes
