Great place on the lake

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed several places on the lakefront, and have come to Nantahala lake for many years. This one has the best views we have encountered. Great large, clean, house, lotsa beds, well furnished. Fantastic week stay. There is quite a steep stair climb from the lake dock to the house, so I would caution those who have trouble taking stairs.

Outstanding experience!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and two college age adults stayed there for a week. Had our Kayaks to explore the lake, rented a boat at the marina. Had wonderful evening sunset dinners overlooking the beautiful lake. Weather was perfect (End of July) the lake temp. was also perfect for swimming (83F). A totally enjoyable experience. The accommodations are excellent. Great get away experience. Will do it again next year.

Oh my gosh! This house is BEAUTIFUL! The views are indescribable and overall heavenly. My parents had rented this house before but it was my 1st time and let me say hopefully it won't be the last. Just hanging out around the house is fantastic. Its close to a hiking trail, boat rental, and white water rafting as long as you don't get lost ,LOL Which we did BUT even getting lost was fun and beautiful! The porches are awesome. This trip was more than I ever imagined. If you are reading this trying to decide whether or not to rent it, let me just say, YOU should. You will not regret it. It is truly amazing. Trying to describe it and pictures do not reveal how breathtaking this place is in person.

Wonderful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely Amazing! This cabin is the most well appointed vacation home we have ever stayed in! The views are awesome! The beds are very comfortable, the master bedroom shower is incredible, and the cabin is laid out very well. The walk up from the lake is a work-out, but being on the lake is well worth it. We hope to make many return trips to this cabin! A big THANK YOU to the owners for keeping it very comfortable and affordable.

Family of 5 Smoky Mountain Vacation

  • 4 of 5

We found the house to have the room and views we were looking for. The view of the lake and the mountains was great. I really enjoyed grilling on the deck and looking at the lake. Wonderful. Could have used a dehumidfier in the basement though. Very musty. Overall it was a very relaxing trip. It was a little further away from the activities we wanted to do such as rafting/horse back riding and the SM Park. It took on average 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours to get anywhere and there was an issue of bees and a lot of them. They had quite the colony under the bottom deck. While they didn't bother us, the sound they made was intimidating. We had a wonderful lunch in Dillsboro (?) at the bbq joint. I wouldn't waste my time on the train ride out of Bryson City. Not worth it in my opinion. Mingo Falls was beautiful but I would skip Deep Creek. Lousy fishing in the lake but the kids really enjoyed the dock. Saw a small fox at the dock on our last day.
