Welcome to The Point at Paradise Bay! Situated on a basalt point where Admiralty Inlet meets Hood Canal, this unusual waterfront property has spectacular 225 degree views of water, mountains, and wildlife. Enjoy unobstructed views of Puget Sound, Mt. Baker, Whidbey Island, and the Cascade Mountains from almost every room in the house. The Point includes 270 feet of medium-bank waterfront with two access points to the beach.
There’s something for everyone here: Golf in Port Ludlow, beachcombing, boating, hiking, the Olympic National Forest, or simply enjoying a quiet book in front of the fire and the view. During fishing season, catch Coho and pink salmon from the bank. Seasonal local events include brewfests, writers’ conference, and festivals for film, quilting, jazz, blues, wooden boats, and rhododendrons. Art galleries abound in Port Townsend and Poulsbo. Bremerton offers the naval shipyards and the undersea Naval Museum nearby. The great restaurants in this region are a wonderful surprise to first-time visitors and destination dining for many.
Abundant wildlife is all around: watch eagles soar, hear the otters chirp, see the dolphins frolic, smell the fresh marine air, touch a sea star at low tide. Spot the curious harbor seal watching you. Occasionally even see deer on the beach! Watch the ever-changing marine activity: cruise ships, sail boats, tankers, and nuclear submarines.
With 1.3 acres of professionally landscaped gardens, the property also offers the privacy of a fruit orchard, lawns for croquet and badminton, and a fire pit for your evening s’mores and stories. Originally owned by a professional arborist, the property boasts a species rhododendron garden of incredible variety of color in late spring.
The fully-furnished home of 3,400 square feet sleeps eight in four private bedrooms. The downstairs has the ambiance of a cabin with log walls and cedar ceilings. Snuggle up on comfy sofas to watch movies on a 46" LED flat screen TV, the fire, or the expansive view. Share a bottle of wine while cooking dinner in the full kitchen. Enjoy meals in the comfort of the large covered deck or read a good book on the soft seating to the sound of the waves lapping only a few feet below you. Facing east, the deck is a great place to enjoy the stillness of the sunrise with a cup of coffee. In the mornings, we often see an eagle glide by at eye level.
The two downstairs bedrooms both have queen-sized beds and the cabin charm of logs and cedar ceilings. One is the Fisherman’s Room and the other is the Sailboat Room. The downstairs bathroom is a ¾ bath with a shower, vanity, and plenty of storage for your personal effects.
The upstairs is like a lighthouse: bright and light-filled with impressive views of the water from every room. The living area is a great room with living room, dining, and kitchen. The full kitchen is newly remodeled and has an elegant dining island. The living room has plenty of seating, a 60” LED flat screen TV, a fireplace, and the most incredible 180 degree views of water you’ll ever see. Enjoy the cool breeze of the north or the sunny warmth of the south on the outdoor deck that wraps around three sides of the house.
The upstairs has two bedrooms both with queen-sized beds. Because of the position on the point, the master suite enjoys an overview of the water that feels as though you are aboard a cruise ship. The master has an in-suite bathroom with a shower, double lavatory, plenty of storage, and the washer and dryer. The second bedroom is the Blue Room and tastefully appointed in sea blues and white. A full, newly-remodeled bathroom is adjacent.
This beautiful property has hosted birthday parties, weddings, anniversary celebrations, and even small business retreats. The home is a lovely place for a honeymoon, family vacations, a romantic escape, girlfriends’ getaway, fisherman’s holiday, adventure seekers, or a private meditation with nature.
