Pristine 1 bedroom house one block from Kalama Beach Park with full kitchen, living room, Queen sized bed, AC, ceiling fans, TV, gated fully fenced yard, safe and quiet. Outside private sitting area with patio table & chairs. W/D available Off street parking. Beach towels and chairs available. Dishes, cutlery, bedding, towels available. Walk to nearby Kalama Beach Park. Library, recreation center with pool, tennis, basketball, shopping, restaurants, Whole Foods, kayak rentals, etc.
I have stayed in Kailua twice before. It is a great place to vacation and for all three times it is like you feel like your living there. Thomas has a separate residence. The place has a full kitchen with everything you need. Very clean and modern. Parking for your car. What is really nice is there are homes where you are staying in behind the property that is on the road. You are farther back and it is very quiet and restful. We were on Maui and had an ocean front condo and it is very beautiful but it was loud from the waves crashing on the shore. We found it hard to get to sleep at night. This residence is private and quiet. It is a short walk to Kailua Beach great for boogie boarding and Lanikai Beach is a few minutes drive to calmer waters for snorkelling and cooling off. There are lots of restaurants and shops to explore. Whole Foods is a few minutes away, with the farmers market on Thursdays by the parking in behind the closed Macy's. Thomas was a pleasant host, nice guy. We would talk to him and ask questions about Kailua and he gave us space to do our own thing. He has a friendly little dog name Max who can appreciate a nice belly rub. The best endorsement is I would gladly stay in Thomas's rental again. Me and my wife got to see the high surf from the hurricane off the Big Island. Pretty neat. I do think we will be seeing him again. Thank you Thomas.
Place is clean and quiet, close to the beach, everyone around is friendly. What more could you want?

I was able to walk over to the beach in the morning and enjoy morning walks along the beach.
I also loved using the patio for enjoying my tea in the morning and wine in the evening.
The unit was clean and well maintained...very modern and the kitchen was equipped with what we needed.
There was bottled water in the fridge, and snacks and coffee on the counter. I also liked that the ice dispenser worked as I like my drinks icy cold.
I would certainly recommend this property to others and hope to stay there another time.
Clean, quiet, and excellent location! Full kitchen, BBQ, secure off-street parking, laundry facilities, and a 5 minute walk to the beach. The owner also provides beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler to use. While we didn't spend too much time at "home", it felt like home when we were there.
I grew up in Kailua and I can say: If you want Hawaii without the noise and traffic of Waikiki, then I would highly recommend this vacation rental!
The rental unit was a cute very clean unit which was very comfortably furnished. The owner, Thomas, supplied the unit with everything that anyone may need when he is away from home and he keeps it very well maintained. The unit is located 300 yards from the beach (one block) and 3 min drive from Kailua town.
We would highly recommended this place and would gladly stay there again.
Our stay was clean, comfortable and convenient. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, and we felt very secure in this rental. Excellent in all respects, met all of our expectations.
