Thanks for looking at my apt for rent. Important info: I generally rent for 3 MONTH MINIMUM, unless I need to fill a gap.

This is a fully furnished, 1-bedroom apartment located in a beautiful corner row house in the Capitol Hill historic district. This is a quiet, uncluttered and comfortable space, perfect for an extended stay in DC for fellowship or temporary assignment. . This property is within a 20-minute walk of Union Station, Eastern Market Metro and historic Eastern Market, the U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, and the restaurants and bars in the newly revitalized Barracks Row (8th Street SE) and the Atlas District (H Street NE). In addition to easy metro access, there is a Metrobus stop within 20 yards of the property for quicker access to Union station and downtown.

The apartment has a working fireplace, a queen bed and a separate washer and dryer. The apartment is technically an English basement, but, as you can see from the photos, it 10 large windows and is very bright.

Fantastic, Jon is great!!!!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is even nicer than the pictures. Great location and access to downtown Washington, but still quiet and residential. Jon is a great host who balances respect for privacy with accessibility.

Light, bright, comfy unit close to everything

  • 5 of 5

Immaculately clean, well furnished and equipped, and a perfect location.

Owner responded promptly to our requests and had prepared a helpful packet of information.

The unit is a short walk to the Capitol, Eastern Market, metro stops. .. and the bus stop is across the street. Short walk to charming coffee shops and restaurants.

Clean and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

I stayed for 1 month in Jon's apartment and enjoyed it very much. The place looks even better in person than in the posting's pictures. I stayed for the month of July, but between the fans and the lower-level of the apartment it was always cool enough to be comfortable. Jon was a great host who was accommodating but also respectful of his guests' privacy.
