Blue Mountain Breeze really is a fantasy come to life. Located only 225 yards from the beach access, you can spend every day enjoying the 30-A lifestyle, sipping your morning coffee while you watch the sunrise, smelling the salt air on the gentle breezes and listening to the waves crash into shore.
Constructed in 2009, the home is as splendid as the lifestyle it affords. Inside, inviting wind-washed colors, open spaces and warm wooden floors make Blue Mountain Breeze the perfect place to gather with friends and family. We are also pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry friends for a small nightly charge. You will deal directly with the owner, we are very flexible and responsive to almost anything that will enhance your vacation visit with us.

The large dining room table is ideal for family meals, late-night board games (available on site), and sharing memories about the good old days. The main floor also has a bedroom complete with a queen bed and private bath (hint: check out the shower!)

You can also use the foldable beach wagon to take your day’s worth of necessities (cooler, chairs, umbrella) down to the water where you can spend the day swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, building sandcastles, strolling along the beach at water’s edge and making lifelong memories.
When you’re ready to tour the rest of 30-A, you can leave the car keys at home and take the bikes. Blue Mountain Breeze has four bicycles for you to use as you travel the bike path (aka Timpoochee Trail), which is 28.5 miles in length and a wonderful way to explore 30-A. If you have more than four in your party, Big Daddy’s Bike Shop, (which is just around the corner) offers 10% discounts on bike rentals if you mention you’re staying at Blue Mountain Breeze.

About the owner: Have you ever dreamed on living on the Florida Gulf coast? Me too! So we made it happen in 2005 when I was chosen by The St. Joe Company to function as their Special Projects Construction Manager. Our team built many of the higher-end homes in WaterColor and WaterSound. We built our vacation home, Blue Mountain Breeze, finishing construction in early 2009 and lived there for several years. Our goal is to move back to this wonderful area and home at some point down the road.
Why the Owner Chose Blue Mountain Beach, FL, USA:
Watching the amazing sunrises and sunsets...falling asleep to the sound of the surf with the breeze blowing on your face...grilling fresh seafood on the deck with family and friends...you can't put a price on these things. We live sustainably and used our knowledge and experience to build this home to be comfortable, healthy, safe, durable and energy efficient. Our home uses geothermal energy for heating and cooling. Extra care was taken to make our home very strong and resistant to high winds. Solar panels will be installed on the home one day that will generate most of the electricity used. Like many others, I grew up coming to the Florida Gulf Coast on vacations almost every summer. In 2001, we were fortunate to be able to buy Lot 6 in Sandcastles by the Sea. In 2008, through hard work and careful planning, we were able to fulfill a dream and build Blue Mountain Breeze. 30-A is a fantastic area because it is convenient to everything but far enough away avoid big crowds. Destin is slowly creeping eastward but Point Washington State Forest will always function as a buffer to minimize commercial development. Plus the building height restriction wisely instituted long ago by Walton County prevents high rise condos and keeps the area feeling a bit more like Old Florida. Blue Mountain Beach is relaxed, laid-back and friendly, with many great restaurants and tons of other amenities. It's a beautiful place to live and vacation.

Location, location, location! Steps from the beach, sip coffee on the deck watching the kids play in the pool or common area or cul-de sac, walk or bike for delicious local food, relax with sea breezes on your face, listening to the surf and the seagulls. Many of our guests tell us they prefer to deal directly with us instead of going through a property management company. We strive to offer friendly personalized service, attention to detail and accessibility that might be a bit lacking with a larger company. We place a big emphasis on building long term relationships with our guests and do all we can to go that extra mile to make sure your stay with us brings back happy memories. Blue Mountain Breeze is in an easily accessible, central area with almost everything you need within walking/biking distance or a very short car trip. We're within a block of Hwy 83, a main connector between 30-A and 98, so if 30-A traffic is heavy (like much of the time during peak seasons) you have alternative route options. Our beach home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac south of 30-A along with 8 other homes. The round pavement area is an ideal place for the kids to play, as there is little traffic. Plus, you can keep an eye on them from the porch. Our new pool is located just below the main deck, so it's easy to watch the young ones play from there as well. Many of our guests have vacationed at various spots along 30-A and they tell us the beach is not as crowded here. We like to hear that and hope you do too.
