Why David and Gloria chose Sevierville

We enjoy the beautiful and relaxing view of the mountains, the peaceful Resort living, the adventures and the easy access to all the activities in the surrounding area has to offer within a short distance. Gatlinburg ,pigeon forge ,convention center , golf courses, the wilderness ,the parkway are just minutes away, never ending entertainment.

We hope that we can make your stay at our cabin as relaxing and enjoyable as we do.

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin sets on a ridge in a peaceful, quiet, and secluded log cabin resort where family and friends can relax and enjoy spending time together. The resort sets on 150 acres of natural woods and has wonderful views of the Great Smoky mountains. We're away from the traffic, but convenient to our resort towns -Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg.. and the Great Smoky Mtn National Park. Close enough to easily access all the attractions this area has to offer. We all love a crackling fire while we read, play games, color, watch on-demand movies or DVD's. The resort is also a great place to go for walks while seeing the beautiful scenery. In the summer, the resort pool is refreshing. The porch is great place to sit and read or just listen to the natural sound of the wind in the trees; as the squirrels scamper about or deer occasionally wander by! Relaxing in the HOT TUB while its snowing is an amazing experience! The guys love to watch the VOLS games on the HDTV, play pool in the loft, or grill out on the porch. It also helps they can be at the golf course in 5 minutes and the girls can be shopping in 10 minutes!!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had no issues with our cabin. It is in a nice quiet area. As we were gone most days, we only spent our evenings and nights on site. Our four teenage kids were very happy as there were three beds in the loft by the pool table for our boys and our daughter had one of the two bedrooms downstairs. Cabin was clean on arrival, and we had no issues with access. Owners were very responsive and offered up any help as needed. Thank you David and Gloria. The Smokey Mountains are beautiful. Next time we hope to come when the everything is in full bloom.

Clean, beautiful cabin

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was clean and beautiful! David was very friendly and responded immediately the two times I contacted him. The beds were comfortable and the loft was a nice, separate area for the kids to play. We enjoyed swimming at the resort pool each night and were surprised that it never felt too crowded. There are only two cons in my opinion. First, there is no view of the mountains (at least in the summer) from the cabin or the deck as opposed to the impression I had from reading the listing online. Secondly, it’s a long drive to go anywhere. It takes 30 min to get to Pigeon Forge and almost an hour to Gatlinburg. Also, there are 3 security cameras on the deck which can make it weird to think of someone watching you while you’re out there (especially the one by the hot tub), but we got used to it and forgot they were there most of the time. Otherwise, the cabin was great! It was nice that there’s a gate that latches at the entrance of the deck so we could let the kids play out there and not worry about the little ones wandering into the street. We made great memories here and I’m sure anyone else would too!

Beautiful Cozy cabin in the smoky mountains

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time. Gloria`s cabin was so clean and cozy. We felt like home away from home. We enjoyed the spring and walking in the resort. The owner paid attention to details . The loft area was a bonus and the kids really enjoyed playing pool . It was their private area to play . The house has all the amenities especially the kitchen where we cooked everyday . We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub when it was cold outside . Thanks David and Gloria for the wonderful stay. We will be back soon .

NOT WORTH THE MONEY FOR NO VIEW & DRIVE TO NO WHERE LAND

  • 1 of 5

It's completely off the beaten path & up & SUPER steep hill which I'm sure most of them are but once you get to the cabin your only view is trees & some are dead trees. You are soo far away from anything you can not see the mountains. However after the 6+ hour drive we were excited to use the hot tub since there was 5 of us that could use it (they say you must be 12yrs of age to use it) & not one person could stay in it for more then 25 seconds...LITERALLY WE TIMED IT!!! When we got out it looked like we had a burn because it was soo hot. I messaged the owner & he responded right away but did say he was not sure when someone could come look at but to turn bubbles off & keep cover off & that should cool it down. We tried again about an hour later & it was the exact same. Finally the night before we left & no one had been there to look at it, we saw a panel & slid it open & found the thermostat. It was on the hottest it could go so we bumped it down a couple notches & an hour later we could actually get into it & it felt like a normal hot tub! I let the owner know what I had done & asked him if he wanted me to put it back where it was or leave it & he told me to leave it BUT once we checked out he informed me he had to send a staff member to fix the problem I created & since I left the cover off a couple nights the electric bill was too high & he kept over half my deposit!!!!! It's funny a staff member came the day we left to fix it but no one came the 3 days we were there to help us!? I reached out several times to dispute this charge before leaving my negative review.

The pool table is located upstairs which is great for entertainment but not great when you want to sleep. It is directly above the main bedroom so what was all we heard once we went to bed was the pool sticks hitting the floor ::]]]

There was an outside grill which we did use 1 night but, but could not finish it because we noticed the grill did not feel hot when we opened it & the flame & went out. We bent over to hit the pilot light again & the grill popped/exploded & grease flew all over us ruining the shorts & shirts that my boyfriend was wearing. If he did not have a long sleeve on it would have burnt his skin as well. I let the owner know that something was wrong with the grill or running out of gas & he just said things like this happen & did not offer to compensate him for his ruined outfit. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!

Owner's Response: Angi,I'm sure that this review would have been a 5 star review if it wasn't for the extra damage charges. When you called me the first day where you were trying to enter your cabin code in the wrong address, I was worried that you would get arrested for trespassing someone else property. I stayed with you on the phone till you reached my cabin safe and sound. Your exact words that you loved the cabin and it was a wonderful experience except for the hot tub being hot. 1-When you called me about the hot tub. I mentioned that I will do my best to bring someone to adjust the temperature . I also advised to leave the hot tub uncovered for 15 minutes and turn off the jets .. You left the hot tub 3 days uncovered and it ran the electric bill astronomically high. It could have burned the motor. Knowing that the hot tub is supposed to be maintained at certain temperature to prevent growing of any algae. The hot tub or SPAS are made to be hot and not to be used as regular tubs at home or swimming pool. I understand you went ahead and opened the hot tub locked panel and changed the temperature that is supposed to be only changed by a professional technician. You mentioned that you put ice bags in the the hot tub and started filling it with the hose to make it cooler!!! I never had a guest putting ice in a hot tub to make it cooler. I will definitely keep this one for the books. I know that my cabin is easy and user friendly and usually usual citizen figure things by themselves but for some reason it was difficult for you to figure out things like the grill , hot tub , Pool table, internet ,etc.... 2- I explained to you that the grill has a safety feature that it will turn itself off if you had the gas running without igniting the flame. It seems that was the situation and I'm so glad that your boyfriend didn't end up burning himself. I'm sorry about your boyfriend shirt, but as I mentioned any restaurant doesn't reimburse customers spelling food on their clothes. 3- You stayed in April and it is still a little cooler , many of the trees haven't bloomed yet. FYI they aren't dead!!! 4-The cabin is paved all the way to the cabin door and yes the roads are little curvy because we are in the mountains. 5-The pool table and the noise, again that's a user problem!!! 6-Last but not least you were upset that I found out about the item you took from the cabin and I charged you for it I hope that cover all the points and please have a safe trip back home. David

There are so many activities to do here...I will only highlight a few and some that we have enjoyed so far on our many visits here. There are many places to eat...pizza, barbecue, romantic dinners with a piano player soft lights, very good food, pancake houses etc..., The restaurants that we have visited that we have really enjoyed is Calhoun's Restaurant @ 1004 Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN. Phone No. 865-436-4100.

I suggest calling ahead to see if you can reserve a table as it is a very busy restaurant. We loved the smoked prime rib! Yum! The other restaurant we enjoyed, but found it to be a little higher in cost. They have a piano player and it is more romantic. It is called Park Grill, 1110 Parkway, TN. Phone No. 865-436-2300. You can call ahead here for a table, which I suggest you do as most of the restaurants here you have a long wait from 30 - 45 min.

We have gone to the usual restaurant chains like Red Lobster, Joe's CrabShack, LongHorn Steakhouse, Bubba Gump, just to name a few. The Old Mill, is a southern cooking style food restaurant, with very reasonable prices, family friendly, lots of food served...the food was ok tasting, it is a very popular place to eat in Pigeon Forge so you can expect a wait of 45 to 1 hour, at popular times to eat of the day...there is a nice little shop to visit while you wait and you can hear your name called over the loud speaker. Parking is Free, but expect to walk. Then there are dinner shows like Dixie Stampede, Lumber Jack Feud, and Smith Family Dinner Theater, Comedy Barn Theater, but no dinner here

Again, to name some of the most visited here. We have gone to the Comedy Barn, and enjoyed the show very much! Then there are numerous places to shop. There is a very nice Tanger Outlet. There are numerous souvenir shops, homemade fudge, pottery, you name it they probably offer it here., There are places to race cars at the Nascar Speedpark. Magic Shows at The WonderWorks.,

The Tomb, which we experienced and really enjoyed it! Dollywood, Muscle Car Museum, Ziplines, which David went on and enjoyed it very much...this was not something I was willing or courageous enough to agree to, so I took excellent pictures for him to remember his adventure...ha!

There is a ship called the Titanic that was really fun for me but David is not that interested in Museum type adventures, like I am. Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Resort. There is a very nice Aquarium in Gatlinburg. We did enjoy this Aquarium very much! The Sharks swim right over you in the large fish tank. We really enjoyed this Aquarium! In Sevierville, right up the road, about 2 miles away is The Wilderness. Which is a inside waterpark. There is also a nice golf course next to the Conference Center next to the Wilderness. There are many restaurants, grocery stores and shopping up the road from Eagles Haven. Last but not least we are close to Knoxville, TN, about 25 miles. In Knoxville they have a nice zoo, I have heard but we have not visited it yet.

If you have the time there is also horse riding , water rafting , zip lining , and of course hiking in the smoky mountains.

Cades cove is a beautiful place to visit in the morning , it is about a 30 to 45 minutes drive in the park where you see animals like deer , ofcourse squirrels , turkeys and many times bears especially in june and july their mating season .

There are so many things to do here that you will not be bored!! When you come into Pigeon Forge there are visitor centers. They have discount tickets available there with all sorts of brochures to fulfill the whole families interests. These brochures are also available outside gas stations, restaurants, everywhere really. They will sometimes have coupons in them as well. We do have a plastic container in our cabin with a variety of brochures that are available for our guests to use as they would like, under the staircase on the desk. I encourage you to google this area and see what you would like to visit, because all of the activities can be a bit overwhelming.

Then you can focus in on what you and your family would really like to see during your visit, get discounts that are available and have a great time! Making lots of memories together. Lastly, I hope this gives you a general idea. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask us. We love to talk about this area and our Cabin!!! Don't forget your camera! Ha...I hope you all have a great time...I am sure you will!
