About tanya rodriguez
I was born and raised in Manhattan Beach, actually on this 6th street walk street. My husband Dave was born in Walnut Creek, CA, he has now spent more of his lifetime in Manhattan Beach then northern CA.
tanya rodriguez purchased this House in 2009
What makes this House unique
The walk street atmosphere is amazing. Kids grow up very closely with the kids on the block as if they are all brothers and sisters. Once we park our car on Friday after work, many times we don't get back into our car until Monday am. It is just a few minutes walk to the beach (our back yard so to speak), as well as a few minutes walk to the restaurant, pier and shops.

The Vacation House and Spot We Hoped Existed and Here it Was!!
I flew in from NYC to spend a week at the beach with my California daughters and their two children. Tanya could not have been more helpful ahead of time; she specially put up baby guards on the stairs which was great. The house itself was perfect. Three bedrooms with plenty of privacy in how they are placed. Everything was lovely and clean and we didn't even know that there would be so many perfect toys for my grandson to play with. We are outdoors almost every meal at the big and sheltered table. The walk street was wonderful and our two were out there from breakfast to nightfall. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped; the neighbors were friendly; the garage was great, as were the little bikes and scooters which saved us from having to transport extra stuff from Glendale. The three desks upstairs were great as we each had some work to do and it was easy as pie to have the workspace right there and segregated from the downstairs. We were three adults and two preschool kids and it all felt very roomy and home-like. We are very glad we found this house and its generous and thoughtful owner and hope to return soon!
Great family vacation home
We stayed in the home for a week with another family - a total of 4 adults and 3 children. We were very comfortable there and literally had everything we needed to feel right at home. Plenty of space for all of us. Easy walk to downtown Manhattan Beach and to the beach.
Our boys were all thrilled to find toys to play with, bikes to ride and wetsuits to wear in the water. And the owner was very accommodating and great to work with. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to a friend.
Perfect vacation home!
My family traveled with friends to Manhattan Beach for a week in August.
A+ rating all around. The setting is perfect - it is walking distance to the beach, town, plus surrounding beach towns. The house itself is fully equipped with anything you could want- boogie boards, sports equipment, bikes, and more. The owners were extremely pleasant and easy to work with. We can't wait to visit again!
My family and I rented this property for over a week and have nothing but great things to say! The location of the house is close to town. The house offered all amenities that you would need. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful to go along with the owners of the house who made our stay a special one. I recommend this house to any one that is visiting Manhattan beach. We hope to rent this house again.
A favorite day for our family is an early morning surf. Followed by a bike ride on the strand to one of our favorite restaurants at the Hermosa Beach pier for lunch. Sometimes we bike past Hermosa Beach to The Sea Lab (small aquarium in Redondo Beach.) There is also a smaller aquarium at the end Manhattan Beach Pier called The Roundhouse. Next off to the beach for boogie boarding, body surfing , swimming, beach volleyball and simply relaxing with friends/neighbors while the kids play. Ending our day watching the sunset at the beach with a sunset dinner. Or perhaps we walk into town for dinner (dining at El Sombrero, Old Venice, Simmzy's, Rock n Fish, or Fusion Sushi). Many times, we end up barbecuing with our neighbors, grabbing something to barbecue at our local Manhattan Meat Market. While the kids play basketball, skateboard or playing hide and seek. One can always take a drive and visit Disneyland, Long Beach Aquarium, 6 Flags Magic Mountain or Knott's Berry farm all within an hour drive.
