Incredible home!

  • 5 of 5

Every once in awhile a place can be found that exceeds expectations so much that you almost want to keep it a secret so that you don't have to stand in a long line to enjoy the experience again. The Beach House at Salmon Creek falls into this category. The house itself is very well maintained and ready for a weekend or a week long stay. The kitchen is ready for making big or small meals, with everything you need. Leave your pots, pans, and cooking utensils at home!

The bedrooms are all very well appointed, including the master bedroom which is most heavenly. If you want to have a fun, relaxing, and completely enjoyable beach house experience I can't recommend the beach house enough. An outstanding experience in every way.

California Meets The Hamptons!

  • 5 of 5

You can tell this house is owned by artists/designers/architects.

Lovely attention to detail in a beachy, shingled home that's unusually large and rustic while staying cozy and elegant feeling. It's clean, light, open. Light everywhere. The bedrooms are well appointed, comfortable, the kitchen is like something out of an Ina Garten cooking show, etc. etc. Gorgeous, spacious, perfect for having a large family gathering or party of friends and kids for the weekend. It's well appointed in every way as far as linens, serving ware, etc. - the only things I didn't find either time I stayed were dishtowels/sponges or plastic wrap/ziplock bags, the latter which aren't really necessary for a rental property to supply, just giving folks a heads up to bring your own. :)

I celebrated my 50th birthday here, with kids running around on the dunes, playing football in the yard, friends taking turns making meals, playing games in the dining room overlooking the ocean.

It's super dreamy, the area is so rich with natural beauty, raw, rugged coastline, and close to Sonoma/Napa wineries, rolling hills, etc. The rental company is wonderful and responsive - well worth the price. Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter this wonderful house would have a different but equally charming feel. <3

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

Let's start with the house. The house has a large and ample driveway that can fit up to four cars comfortably and probably six smaller cars. The entry leads to a large lawn perfect to play catch and an even larger lawn on the other side of the house. The grass was a bit overgrown, but with a simple mow they're perfect. The kitchen is really well equipped with sharp knives (a big plus), several large cutting boards, a gas stove top with six burners, a great selection of large pots and pans, and a large coffee pot. If you're family likes to cook, this is the kitchen for you. There is a large breakfast table and a larger square dinner table. Square is great because it prevents a break in communication with the guests at the table. The house has two family rooms with a large TV, which proved ideal for the Warriors-OKC game. The bedrooms are standard, with the master bedroom downstairs, which also proved ideal for our pregnant friend.

As for the location, it's truly ideal. The small Salmon Creek residential community is perched within walking distance of Salmon Creek and the Pacific Ocean. We rented stand-up paddle boards form the local surf shop, which they delivered right to the creek. We paddled up the creek where the water was much calmer. I recommend you reserve the paddle boards a day in advance, as they only have a few ($40 for 5 hours).

As for the staff, they made pick up and drop off very easy and accessible. They were also very responsive and attentive. All in all, we had a great time.

Friend/Family/Kids Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful house, well stocked kitchen, tons of seating. Great "kids" room with couches, games and "bay blades" were very popular. Awesome beach and dunes right outside the door. Big property, beautiful views. The property manager was very responsive during the booking, and answered all our emails/phone calls. Awesome ping pong room too. The kids (2-8) loved the space and want to go back every year. The grown ups loved the spaciousness and the big kid friendly run around space of the yard and the house.

a real home with no clutter, spacious and classy, easy walk to the fantastic Salmon Creek Beach

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for making our week at Salmon Creek a wonderful success!

The house is very well supplied, clean & lovely, with interesting furniture & great art on the walls, filled with space and light, yet fully equipped for a comfortable stay for 10 people. Fabulous bright kitchen with quality pots and pans, etc. ... none of the dreadful low grade/cheap odds and ends.

Special thanks to the staff at Bodega Bay Best for going the extra (few) miles ... allowing for several creative arrangements to meet our needs. We loved the house (we already adore the little village) and were super happy to have our meeting there.

Ocean sounds at night

  • 5 of 5

We rented the space for a 50th birthday weekend and it fit all ten of us perfectly. We are big foodies and outdoors types so we loved the enormous kitchen with views out to the ocean, the large dining table, and being able to walk down to the beach. We went for strolls every day. The best part was the sound of the ocean at night. Such a great retreat from the urban noise we are so accustomed to!
