We enjoyed this rustic setting.
My husband and I loved the mountain views and the wildlife we could see from the large deck. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and the bed was very comfortable. Actually, the apartment was clean and comfortable throughout. Tracey was very attentive to any questions or needs we had!!
Thanks so much for coming. I enjoyed having you and glad you got to spend time with your family.
Perfect.
I will tell everyone I know about our stay.
Thanks for coming. So glad you enjoyed your stay in the mountains! Looking forward to having you back again. 😎
Peaceful & Beatiful
We had a wonderful stay in Divide. Tracey was a wonderful host. Having the entire downstairs apartment was nice. The kitchen is very small but adequate for our needs. The bed was comfortable. The area is beautiful and the neighborhood is perfect for evening walks. We'd definitely come back!
Great Value!
We enjoyed our stay at Penguin Crossing. The bed & couch were comfortable, the bathroom was large with plenty of hot water, and the kitchen had what we needed to cook for 2. We spent our days hiking in Mueller state park and other nearby trails. The only downsides were lack of TV, (cable or otherwise – the TV in the unit is only usable as a monitor to watch DVD’s), slow wifi (it was so slow in the evenings that we weren't able to stream Netflix) and lack of cell phone coverage. But the value for the price was excellent! Thanks to Tracey for your hospitality!
Enjoyed our stay
We enjoyed the place and surroundings. Comfortable, quiet and extremely clean place. It was very nice to meet the owner and her fabulous 2 dogs. Tracey was near by all the time, ready to help with wood stove, etc but also gave us space and privacy.
We enjoyed running and evening walks with great views of Pikes Peak and nearby hills.
Lovely Stay in Divide, CO
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this property for two nights in July 2016. The property was clean, bed was comfortable, and the Aspens were beautiful. The kitchen is very small and would not accommodate cooking a large meal, but we were fine going into town to eat dinners. Our only other complaint was no cable; however, Tracey has a large selection of DVD's and a few board games. I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.
Thanks for staying at Penguin Crossing. I agree, the kitchen is small, I am open to ideas on ways to improve it...
Location
Imagine a place in the woods with the smell of pine and view of Pikes Peak. Peaceful, quiet and remote setting, just ten minutes from Divide in beautiful Spring Valley. Lakes, ponds, views and nature await those who come to this 'best kept secret' in the Pikes Peak region. Why Divide? Because Divide is like the hub of a wheel where you can go any direction and find fun things to do, places to eat and adventures to conquer...from all of the Colorado Springs attractions, to skiing, water rafting, hiking, fishing and mountain climbing; this is your starting point. Or, just stay here in Spring Valley and enjoy fishing in our lakes, biking our beautiful roads, listening to the gentle breeze in the Aspens or, if appropriate, sitting by the fire with a good book. So many activities close by, within a 20-45 minute drive of the condo you can go wine or beer tasting in Woodland Park or for the more adventurous, the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, visit Mueller State Park, the Florissant Fossil Beds, The Crags, Pikes Peak, the Dinosaur Resource Center, Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls, Garden of the Gods Visitor Center, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Rodeo Hall of Fame or the Air Force Academy to name just a few. There are numerous hikes for the active minded guests as well as some great fishing holes.
