The Atlantic Resort and Spa is Fort Lauderdale’s premier oceanfront luxury condo hotel located on the famed Ocean Boulevard (A1A). This stylish resort offers uninterrupted sweeping views of Fort Lauderdale’s pristine golden beach (miles and miles of golden beaches), as well as the turquoise-colored waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
The Atlantic Resort and Spa is an exceptional alternative to the larger and rather impersonal hotels located nearby. Though the Atlantic is boutique in style it is a 4-Diamond resort and a member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts portfolio; thereby offering a host of luxurious amenities, as well as a staff that is devoted to unsurpassed service and waiting to serve as your personal host.
The Atlantic offers a chance to renew yourself at the Spa Atlantic, as seen on the NBC’s Today show…a European-style spa inspired by the native surroundings of South Florida. Spa Atlantic offers you a chance to renew and indulge with the Spa’s unique and indigenous products made from the world's most natural ingredients. Or you may simply want to relax by the poolside with a few cocktails. The Atlantic Resort pool is the centerpiece of all relaxation at the hotel, rising 5 stories above the oceanfront setting. From the 5th floor pool deck, you can savor the true meaning of leisure with breath-taking views of the sunrise over Lauderdale beach.
The Atlantic also features fine cuisine at the East End Grille. The East End Grille is also a great spot for Happy Hour cocktails at the bar or by the poolside.
While at The Atlantic, dare yourself to explore the outdoor haven of endless water activities (snorkeling, diving, fishing, and water skiing), boutiques, art galleries, world class restaurants and eateries, museums, theaters, casinos (Hard Rock, Mardi Gras and Seminole Casinos) and nightspots. We love the Atlantic. We feel it is the most luxurious and perfect place for fun, sun and relaxation on the best beach in South Florida!!
Angelo Gonzalez purchased this hotel in 2009
We purchased at The Atlantic as soon as we visited the resort and the spa. The Atlantic Spa is the best of the best!
The location of the Atlantic is second to none! So well located across the street from the best beach, Fort Lauderdale Beach
Being fairly centrally located on the beach is a great asset to this property as is the helpful and friendly hotel staff that made a short stay memorable and wanting it to be longer! The room itself was a little larger than expected and featured a large bathroom with a walk in shower, ceramic tile floors and a comfortable bed with a balcony overlooking an adjacent hotel and a clear view of the beach.
I'm saving this one for later to return to and would highly recommend to others!
The location and room was really great! Especially the ocean front. However, working with Angelo was a real pain! Doesn't pick up phone calls, doesn't respond to emails properly, and didn't even manage to reserve the right room.
This hotel was in a great location. The staff was very helpful and respectful. The amenities were wonderful! Everything was above and beyond.
This unit was outstanding. Very spacious. Good bed. Close to everything including the cruise ship port. We will stay here again.
This is a very lovely building with extremely pleasant accommodating staff. The room, however, was disappointing. It was build for handicapped use so instead of having an enclosed room for the toilet, the toilet is in the open space. There was no tub and no drawers for storage in the bathroom, only an open counter with the 2 sinks. One closet is standard height but the other only has hanging space from 4' off the ground. I think the owner should have made these things apparent in advance.
In the kitchen area there are no drawers, and essential items are missing: no knife, no can opener, no frying pan. Also, there is noisy construction that begins before 8am every day so you are awoken and also can not enjoy sitting on the balcony during the work day to enjoy the lovely view of ocean and of both sunrise and sunset. There is no maid service and no supply of extra tissues or toilet paper. The room is a little shabby, with a torn hem in the curtain, fraying on the bottom of the bedskirt, uncomfortable bed (it is firmer and high in the center and soft and angled on each side). There is not a proper mattress pad, only something that does not cover the full mattress.
The facilities in the building are great - swimming pool with view of ocean, 2 restaurants, valet parking, right across the street from the beach and in walking distance to stores and restaurants. Fort Lauderdale has a highway right next to the beach so you have to deal with the traffic and noise.
We stayed at The Atlantic for 4 nights. It is a wonderful hotel with easy access to the beach. Awesome food at the pool bar and restaurant- best French toast I've ever had! Plenty to do in walking distance and short cab ride to Las Olas Blvd. The spa at the Atlantic was wonderful! Great massage!
This room was great- very clean, and the manager was easy to deal with. Only drawback is that it is a corner room which still had great ocean views. However, the property next door is undergoing major renovations. Literally there was jack-hammering going on at 7:30AM! You could not hear it if the balcony door was shut (thank goodness) but you couldn't enjoy your morning coffee on the balcony. If it wasn't for that, I'd rate it a 5!
The Atlantic Resort & Spa is well located on the oceanfront with excellent uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean/Beach.
