This is a beautiful 1BR in a perfect location, that can easily accommodate up to 3 people. Far better than a tiny hotel room in the NYC for less money.

The apartment is located in Lower East Side of Manhattan. It's a wonderful “pre-war” building and is a six story, elevator building. You will be staying a few blocks from SoHo (Best Shopping), the East Village (Best Restaurants) and the LES (Best Nightlife) in New York City. You are a 15 Min Subway or Cab ride from Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, 5th Avenue, Central Park, The Apple Store, FAO Schwarz, New York's Museums, Broadway shows, Children's Zoo and other attractions. Buses are only one block in any direction and Subway trains are a scant two blocks away (about a two minute walk).

Great apartment and neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

We had between 1 and 4 people in the apartment over the course of 10 days. The main bed is comfortable, the view is lovely, the air conditioning worked well (and it was hot so we used it a lot). The bathroom is large and having a kitchen means another sink is available. There were plenty of towels, sheets, and pillows but you need to provide your own shampoo, etc. The pull out couch bed in the living room was good enough but my two young adult children said they would not want to sleep on it together for a week. Luckily, it was usually only one of them per night. We chose the apartment for its location, the elevator, and to have room for the many bags we brought to move two kids into college. As other reviewers point out, the apartment is on a busy street corner so it is noisy. The air conditioners acted as some white noise and a white noise machine was provided, but I sleep soundly and did not have any issues with the noise. There are subway and bus stops nearby and many delis and restaurants, Essex Market, a bank, and drug store within 2 blocks. Many bars and clubs are also within walking distance. I also recommend visiting the close-by Tenement Museum. Key pickup and drop off were easy which was great since our plane was delayed several hours and we arrived very late at night. I highly recommend the apartment and Jake, who communicated clearly and regularly.

Wished we could have stayed longer!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location, with all of the amazing restaurants and activity. It was effortless to catch taxis along side of the Starbucks, which was so handy! We walked so many miles during the day, seeing all of the sights, that we didn't even need ear plugs for the night time street noise! The three of us slept great and loved staying at Jake's. Thank you, Jake, for such prompt response when I had a question. We will be back for sure!

Great location and comfort!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location in the LES, with quick access to a couple of different subway lines. We were able to get all over town easily and quickly. If you love food, there is really nowhere better to be. We had the best Chinese, Italian, Deli, Bagels, and Pizza, all within a mile! There are multiple grocers on the block to stock up on snacks and drinks.

The apartment was well appointed and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The pull out sectional was OK, probably better for one than two people. I recommend earplugs if you aren't used to sleeping in a busy city- sirens and horns at all hours. Window A/C units did a great job keeping the space cool. Bathroom worked well- good water pressure and hot water.

We would definitely stay here again. Thanks to Jake for accommodating an early check-in- that really helped us our with our busy schedule!

I stayed here for 3 days with my husband. This was our first time in New York and since we weren't planning on renting a car I made sure to find an apartment near the subway. The subway is about 2 blocks from this apartment. We used the subway which was very easy to Navigate especially using the map app on our phone which told us if we needed to transfer trains. In 3 days we saw the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial and museum, Times Square, Central Park, Ellis Island and saw a Broadway show! It was all about the location and being close to the subway! The building this unit is located in was very quiet, we only saw 1 person enter the building while we were there. Everything was well kept and the neighborhood was great. There's a gym about 2 blocks from here and a Starbucks directly across the street for starters. There are restaurants all over and a Whole Foods that is walking distance which allowed us to buy groceries. The kitchen is fully stocked and even has an Instant Pot for those who are obsessed with theirs like I am! There was also an umbrella in the apartment that came in handy on a day it rained. The owner replied to my message ASAP if we had a question! If you want to see the best of NYC stay here but bring your walking shoes! There are so many great shops and restaurants everywhere you turn. I have zero regrets about getting an apartment versus a hotel. When I come back to NYC I plan on staying here!

We had a really nice time

  • 5 of 5

My sister and I really enjoyed our time in NYC and in Jake’s apt. It’s in a great location, close to several subway lines, and all types of restaurants and businesses. A few blocks from Chinatown and several coffee shops, including Starbucks, are right there. Key exchange and luggage storage with City Copilot (2 blocks away) worked fine. The apartment is perfect for two people and easy to find. Enough utensils in the kitchen but just the basics. Lots of teas and condiments. It’s on the 5th floor. Entry and elevator work great. WiFi fast. Never used TV. Bathroom fine. Place is clean. Bed and pullout couch comfy. It’s is a busy area so for sure there is street noise, But hey that is New York. Just play some music or run the fan for white

noise and you’ll be fine. I felt that this was true NY living like the locals and enjoyed this more than some sterile hotel. I also strongly recommend the MTA app for subways. I would have been lost without it.
