Cheerful, comfy, indoor/outdoor living is what to expect in our Mexican casita in the impeccably kept, gated community of Villa Marina, Mazatlan, Mexico. We are at the northern, marina end of the city in a secure, gated community with full time security guards on duty. There is a gracious pool and club house area with outdoor showers, airy, shaded palapas, sunbathing areas, a gym, jogging track, children's playground, BBQs and a basketball court. This attractive, 2 story townhouse of 1200 sq. ft., is furnished and decorated with pieces from local artists and craftsmen, giving a fresh, airy, Mexican-tropical feel. The main floor has one bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom, and a well equipped kitchen/dining room/living room area. There are two bedrooms upstairs; the master bedroom opens onto an intimate balcony overlooking the garden courtyard, the other room has two single beds. All bedrooms have bedside tables and lamps and roomy wardrobes. The main area upstairs is a spacious family room, with a corner desk, TV, DVD player, and the second bathroom. From the kitchen, a window and glass door look into the garden/courtyard with its attractive, tiled outside kitchen, a large table and parasol, and banana trees gently swaying in the breeze. The laundry room/shed forms the back of this outdoor living space. Here it is sunny in the morning, shaded in the afternoon. When you prefer the beauty of the ocean, a five minute walk from Villa Marina across the road brings you to the long, wide, pristine sandy beach playground reaching for kilometers in both directions. Here you can swim, walk, run, parasail, surf, or ride a horse, ending up at one of the restaurants dotting the beach, for a sun-downer.

This was a very nice home and neighborhood...we enjoyed our stay and all the neighbors were very friendly...Victoria took care of all of our needs graciously...
The quality of the sheets, towels and duvets was old and smelly.
We were denied access to the property and had to wait because the administrator was not aware. The freezer didn´t work well, also the bathroom at night smellled bad.
The property is beautiful, cozy makes you feel right at home
Loved the home the property is very well maintained has all the amenities and love the decorations it's a great place to stay.
This is a very well maintained property that is located in a secure community. The community is very quiet and filled with both Mexican, Canadian, and American families. The pool and grounds surrounding it are well groomed. All of the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed, and most importantly it's nice and clean. The property manager lives across the street and is readily available to assist as needed. If we return to Mazatlan this is where I would book again without hesitation.
Great townhouse! Loved it! Everything from furnishing and decor is wonderful
Beautiful townhouse and we enjoyed it the full 5 months. It is well furnished and gardens are lovely. They is an outdoor kitchen and a blooming banana tree. It is about a 10 min walk to the Ocean and a 3 min walk to the pool. We would recommend d this townhouse to all types of families. If anything does go wrong Antonio is just across the street and he had it fixed quickly.
Mazatlan is an old port city with a historic center, a lively Machado, or central square ringed by restaurants, with a grand old theater, many art and craft galleries, and a large market. The sea port has an active fishery with plenty of excellent fresh fish, shrimp and other seafood available from street vendors and many good restaurants. The 'golden zone' or Zona Dorada, is the more typical touristic area of Mazatlan with beach activities, catamaran rentals, parasailing, a wide range of shopping, night clubs, and restaurants to suit all tastes.Villa Marina is at the north end, with long stretches of beautiful beach, a surfing beach at one end, Playa Bruja, with a a coffee shop/breakfast place, restaurants and craft shops a 1/2 km from the beach.Other activities near-by include zip-lining, a visit to a Tequila factory, numerous golf courses, parasailing, riding on the beach, and visits to interesting local villages.
