What makes this house unique

We fell in love with the location! So close to all the Main Street festivals and fun! Crazy about the character of the pine floors, wide moldings, wonderful windows, pocket doors, old-fashioned front porch, beautiful ancient oaks, amazing sunset views of the hill country to the west.

Thoroughly modern kitchen with all the bells and whistles, yet vintage flair. Romantic slipper tub in master is perfect for soaking away stress!

So many fun things to do in the area: Lake activities are super close, coffee at Main St. Coffee Shop, then shopping on Main Street or enjoy the art galleries and sculptures on Main, take a hike at Inks Lake State Park, pick fresh strawberries at The Sweet Berry Farm 10 min. away, take a wine tour with Hill Country Wine Tours or go antiquing in Burnet, these are just a few of the many activities close by.

We will be glad to send you more information on our property and on area activities and calendar of events in the Highland Lakes Area!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for a wonderful girl's outing! We loved the house and eating experiences, especially Noon Spoon for lunch and On the Rocks for dinner. All worked out perfectly.

We also enjoyed playing golf at Meadowlakes Golf Club. We would love to return someday. It was a great experience!

Great house, host and location; we will definitely come back!

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about this house, very spacious, it has a really nice feel to it, makes you feel at home. Leslie (The host) was very helpful and had a thoughtful welcome present for us. It is a great location to go and explore Main Street. We woke up and walked to blue bonnet then walked through the Main Street shops. The views from the back deck are amazing! Kitchen is well equipped, living room has lots of space for night talks. Will recommend to everyone!!

Incredibly Welcoming

  • 5 of 5

We visited for my mother's birthday (I won't say which one...). The house could not be any more welcoming. It was charming and perfect for the 6 of us but could have accommodated more easily. The house was very convenient to everything in town and the artwork in the home was worth the stay.

The second floor beds where a stiff but my parents had no complaints about the first floor bed. The kitchen had everything you'd need! We enjoyed our stay and would visit again in a heartbeat!

Bachelorette Weekend

  • 5 of 5

8 girls checked into this house for a weekend get away in the hill country. This house was PERFECT for a girls trip. The house was beautiful, clean and quiet in a great location. Prior to our trip I received a detailed email with directions on how to operate everything in the house as well as where to find excess supplies. The homeowner left fresh flowers, wine and a personalized note to welcome us to the home.

Would defiantly stay in this house again if I was back in the area!

Beautiful Victorian home

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I loved our short stay here. The house is beautiful! When we arrived, we were greeted with the lights on and a lovely gift basket of delicious treats sitting on the table, along with a nice note from the owners, Leslie and Kevin. Our stay here was perfect. The house has such an old world charm, but with modern day amenities. Many fabulous photographs on the walls taken by Kevin. He's a great photographer. All in all, we loved staying in this beautiful old house and would love to return again someday.

Get away, back in time.

  • 5 of 5

Loved my too short time in this wonderful old home! Modern kitchen with everything I need as one who cooks a lot, yet surrounded by the feeling of another time that was slower & more gentle. My best friend (my English Lab "The Queen") & private bathI stayed in the downstairs bedroom with private bath. Friends went upstairs. Being able to walk to shops, to the park, the lake & just rest was glorious!! Old style breakfast at the famous Bluebonnet Cafe was such a treat when I didn't want to cook:) Can't wait to go back.

I absolutely would not hesitate to go back, over and over again.

I've traveled quite a bit, and it's hard to beat Texas in November. Marble Falls is energetic yet relaxing, far enough from the big city to really get away, but without having to spend precious vacation time travelling. So that's where me, my wife and kids, and a couple of extended family members went for a five day vacation.

Leslie and Kevin made everything very easy. We arrived in the evening to our warmly lit, amazingly charming and so very comfortable destination home. The day was winding down and everyone was ready to be out of the car. So being able to just unload in the spacious front foyer was nice. From then on, we just felt so relaxed and at ease. The home itself played a big role in being able to just enjoy oursleves. It was a perfect blend of old-world Victorian elegance, practical durability and modern updates.

The home had a great location (just a few blocks from Marble Falls lake) with picturesque views, was close to downtown activities and great restaurants, and had a beautiful, wonderfully shaded and spacious yard (great for people who want to be outside; very relaxing). But the best feature was the Victorian architecture and the quality of the owner's restoration efforts. The parlor was so comfortable and inviting, and our favorite gathering room. The kitchen was beautifully renovated, easy to move around, and had everything you could want or need. The cast-iron tub was a treat. I think my wife spent most of her evenings in there. And then there were the bedrooms. Warm and relaxing, with just enough white noise in the environment to lull you peacefully to sleep. I don't think I've slept that well in ages.

It was a great choice, and we have great memories of our wonderful time together. I absolutely would not hesitate to go back, over and over again.
