About Celeste Glover

Hi, we are Rick and Celeste Glover, it's so nice to meet you. Rick grew up on the Gulf coast of Florida near Tampa Bay and Celeste was raised in Hermosa Beach California. We now call Phoenix, AZ home. So naturally, the desert and coast line of Baja California Sur melted our hearts. We simply had to have our little piece of it. We are so excited to have this new project to enjoy. Since we can't be in Cabo full time yet, our good friend Marytsa lives in Unit 1 working as our onsite manager. Marytsa is a fun loving easy going lady who is fluent in English and Spanish. She will be there for you to help make your stay the best it can be. We do have several units so even if the calendar shows booked, please inquire in a message.

Why Celeste Glover chose Cabo San Lucas

You're the kind of traveler who wants to taste the true flavor of your destination. You want to see the neighborhood and shop at the local markets. You like to visit all the touristy stuff but don't want to be immersed in it. You appreciate getting away from the constant sales pitch. But … you definitely want to be close enough to party like the rock star that you are and escape to the peace and quiet of your own home away from home. We do have several units so even if the calendar shows booked, please inquire in a message.

What makes this condo unique

We are perfectly situated equidistant from the Marina to the south and the Pacific ocean to the west. If you don't feel like walking, you can get a cab for around $7 or $100 pesos. Pack light because the laundry is free. And so is the wifi and the parking. We do have several units so even if the calendar shows booked, please inquire in a message.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Cabos Little Secret is on a hill away from the hubbub yet close enough by car to take advantage of what the area has to offer. The property is well maintained and clean. Host Bo is friendly and helpful but not in an intrusive way. Dog Paco greets people politely and warns if someone approaches the property but otherwise keeps to himself. The property consists of 5 apartment type, single floor units all facing into a courtyard with a pool, 2 BBQs, plenty of seating and lounge chairs, and a nicely maintained local plants. Inside the unit was clean, had good towels, hot water and plenty of cooking pots, storage bowls, eating plates, utincils, etc. Tip: When owner Celeste sends instructions from the airport, be sure to print the instructions and bring along! It is a little tricky to find the first time but easy enough after that. I highly recommend staying here for a quiet, friendly, relaxing Cabo experience.

Best Kept Secret in Cabo

  • 5 of 5

This place was PERFECT for my friend and I to stay during our annual ocean holiday. The units are super cute, beds are cozy, and atmosphere is the perfect combination of laid-back and friendly. Some of the most beautiful sunrises/sunsets I've ever seen were on the rooftop patio that looks down on the entire city, which is perhaps my favorite feature of CLS that is not advertised.

My friend and I also had the good fortune of hitting it off with the group of long-time friends staying in the neighboring units. So, thanks to this wonderful place, we have memories of making the kind of friendships only like-minded travelers and summer camp kids experience.

The cherry on top of all this was CLS's caretaker, Uncle Bo and his dog, Paco. What a team! They took care of us when needed, told us stories we'll never forget, and didn't didn't get upset with us when a night of rum and playing cards resulted in high volume communicating (in a friendly, rum kind of way, of course).

That being said, Cabo's Little Secret is a quiet oasis in the desert; partly because it's off the beaten path, but mostly because it's the kind of place that makes anyone who stays there mellow out. I'll definitely be going back next time I'm in Cabo.

Owner's Response: What an amazing and thoughtful review. So very kind, just like you. Having you stay with us was an absolute pleasure. We did receive complimentary comments about you from all the other guests who you mentioned in your review too. It seems that week, we had a very special group of people who miraculously descended upon us in our little corner of paradise. That is truly how life long friendships are made. I speak from the heart when I tell you that we look forward to having you stay with us again. Only next time, bring more of your wonderful friends! Peace and love to you in all your travels.

DECEIVING WEBSITE PICTURES

  • 1 of 5

We arrived on July 12th, shuttle driver never heard of this place or anyone at the airport. Finally shuttle drive called facility & got directions, when we arrived we were very upset this place no where resembles the pictures advertised. We rang the bell & Uncle BO & Paco (dog) came out and Uncle Bo had a towel wrapped around him. I gave him my name and said we need to talk with Celeste to cancel we will not be staying, "she's in Arizona" you will have to contact her. So we had shuttle driver return us to another place to stay at. I contacted her and she did not answer she returned my call and I explained to her that her website pictures do not look anything like that in person. I requested a refund and told her how uncomfortable we felt, Uncle BO coming out in a towel and she refused to refund us and she hung up on me. We have reached out with a formal letter and sent photos that we took to illustrate how different it looks in person, scary. We will wait for her response. We have used VRBO owners many times and have received refunds from other owners. Beware of the deception of her pictures that do not illustrate what it actually looks like and the surroundings. Too bad our pictures cant be included with our review. Looks like I have to pick a star to submit but theres no zeros so I will choose a 1 star but its really below that.

Owner's Response: Readers please be advised ... these travelers turned out to be a very unique situation. First, they never responded to any of my attempts to contact them until 12:45 the night before before their arrival. Never giving me the opportunity to give them directions or arrival instructions. It is no surprise the taxi driver did not know where to go as we are not a commercial hotel but a small family operated vacation rental property. Once they were inside the taxi, I received a call from the driver asking me to give him directions in Spanish on the spot. Upon arrival, they acted surprised to see that we were located in a neighborhood and not in the tourist central area. Our listing clearly states this. All of our pictures do in fact show our property truthfully as it is. The pictures they took are of the gate to our neighbor's garage at the back of their property. Uncle Bo, who lives on the property had no idea when to expect them so he was enjoying the pool when they arrived. He wrapped a towel around his wet bathing suit to greet them. Without even entering the front gate or viewing the rental, the wife stated, "Well this is not a resort hotel. We want a refund". It is because of rare situations like this that our cancellation policy here on VRBO clearly states that, cancelled reservations will not receive a refund. They booked and paid for this reservation with that in mind. Meanwhile, in the Additional Information section we state, "Each traveler is an individual and we want to treat you as such. We will work out the best agreement for each party according to their own specific needs. Communication and cooperation are key." Despite my best efforts, they neither communicated nor cooperated with us at all in the weeks leading up to their arrival. Then they decided they did not want to stay before even setting foot on the property. They may as well have been a no show. In this case I am not inclined to give them a refund of any kind as we were treated with great disrespect and I was not given any kind of opportunity to re-list, advertise and re-sell the time they had rented. Based on their review, I can see that this might be a pattern with these travelers. I advise other owners not to accept their booking requests.

Perfect Hideaway

  • 5 of 5

What a great experience! Uncle Bo was there when we arrive and was very welcoming. This property has rooms around the perimeter with a pool and barbecue area in the middle. The rooms are clean with a little kitchen with all necessary appliances. Laundry service was available within the community too.

The location is up the hill and just out of town. It was always very quiet there. Although it's a bit too far to walk into downtown, it's a nice hideaway right up the hill where you can escape the busy crowds and relax.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something peaceful yet right around the corner from the marina.

Biggest little vacation spot this side of Reno Nevada.

I may be just a tad biased... but this place is awesome. It's clean, comfortable and convenient to stores, shops, restaurants and walks on the beach. The people here are always ready to help in any way they can if you need to find something specifically. I recommend Cabo's Little Secret to anyone who doesn't want to spend their life savings for a little while in paradise. The prices are super affordable with a great atmosphere for just relaxing around the pool. Night life, fishing, whale watching, snorkeling, or just people watching... there's no better place.

The tropical desert climate here at the southern tip of the Baja peninsula makes for beautiful beach going weather all year. The landscape offers an endless variety of eco-tourism opportunities. It is said that the fishing here is so good that the fish jump right into your boat. Marlin, yellow fin, and dorado are only some of the delicacies living in our waters. We are even home to a sperm whale birthing and nursing ground. A rich and ancient history is chronicled in the depth of variety in the local art. Farmers markets abound nearly every day of the week. All this and the partying is unmatched! Thousands of restaurants and bars cater to your most discerning palate. There is something here for the beach bum in all of us.
