About Bart Farkas/Evelyn Field

We're a professional couple who love this cabin, which has been in the family many years. Since we have a bunch of kids we currently can't use the property all summer so we like to see others enjoy our little piece of heaven.

Bart Farkas/Evelyn Field purchased this cottage in 2014

Why Bart Farkas/Evelyn Field chose Eagle Bay

we couldn't resist buying this property as it's in the most beautiful area . My brother has a cottage down the beach about 2 blocks and the owners nearby are so friendly. The weather is usually great and this place gives one such a sense of peace. (for those who are adventurous there is a sizable cave a 30 minute boat ride away).

What makes this cottage unique

our favorite place is the large deck where we can watch hummingbirds, Eagles, osprey, fish (they jump a lot), squirrels and all manner of wildlife. When you are sitting on it,you can't see the strip of grass, only the water. I say it's like being on a houseboat except without the wave action!I spend as much time as possible there.

high speed internet is included (provided the service is up and running in Sicamous - it usually is).

Hidden Gem

We had a great vacation at this cabin. It had everything we could need and stayed nice and cool during our stay even though the temperatures were mid-30's and only cooled down to about 20 at night. We loved sitting out on the deck at night watching the moon come up over the mountains. Everyone around was very friendly and helpful especially the staff at the store. The beach and water were amazing and we couldn't believe how warm the water was this early in July! The kids enjoyed snorkelling in the clean, clear water and playing on the floating dock. Our German shepherd Motley also had a blast swimming in the lake whenever he got too hot. We definitely would love to return next year.

**** Beautiful - Amazing - Fantastic ****

  • 5 of 5

Well the title pretty much tells the story.

My wife and I along with our 6 year old little girl and golden retriever spent a weeks vacation this year at the end of June 2015 at this little piece of paradise.

Cabin was perfect....beautiful location...has everything and more you could possibly need.

The location is perfect, truly is only 10 feet from the beach and water and the resort is just a short boat ride to Sicamous narrows right across the bay or to floating restaurant at the narrows.

Totem Pole resort is one of the best kept resorts we have had the pleasure of visiting..the managers are very friendly and helpful and the gardens, beach and docks are meticulously maintained.

We met the cabin owners right next door to this one and also spent the afternoon with a wonderful couple who also own a cabin of their own a few cabins down, its nice to meet such nice friendly people, made our stay even more enjoyable.

The owners Bart and Evy where a pleasure to deal with and where very accommodating in helping us with the dates that worked for us and answered all of our questions that we had (even though 95% of the answers where already in the rental agreement which we read after asking so ) sorry Bart ;0).

We took our graduated kindergartner :) out of school for the last week as this was only date available and it was lovely and quite at the resort and on the lake, only downfall was all the kids apparently where coming the following week when school officially finished...something we would consider next time...but made for better fishing on the lake and had the resort pretty much all to ourselves.

We loved it much we asked if there where any other dates available in August once we returned.

And we would have purchased "Daves" Cabin.....but we just dont have the cash...sorry Dave ;0) .

We cant recommend this cabin enough....beautiful cabin, Amazing resort/location and Fantastic owners.

Thanks guys we will definitely be back if we are lucky enough that your still renting it.

Warmest wishes

Russ,Carla,Brooke and Fluke

I liked it so much, I bought the property

  • 5 of 5

Admittedly I'm biased, but I did stay here when a relative owned it and it was fantastic. So much so that my wife and i bought it and we're now enjoying it for ourselves, and letting others enjoy it when we can't. :-)

Our cabin is # 1 and is located in a quiet area of Totem Pole Resort, separated from the beach by an 8 foot strip of lawn. You must park near the store in a specified parking spot and take your belongings to the cabin in a large two-wheeled cart, hence no traffic at all nearby. The deck is very large and becomes the living space as the view is incredible--lake and mountains. Amenities at the Resort include a store,a gas dock,a swim dock,a swim raft, boat launch, buoy for your boat, tennis court, 15 km from Margaret Falls and beautiful campground.26 km from a Coop grocery store(and gas) and 40 km from Salmon Arm, which has many amenities including golf courses, miniature golf, water-park and museums. If you have a boat, you're about 7 min from Sicamous (1.25 hours by car). There are metal barrels on the beach in which bonfires can be lit anytime (for wiener roasts, Smores and more)! Paddle boards for rent at the store. Also some pizza nights and special dinners at the store!

PAYMENT: We prefer payment by eTransfer. Using the VRBO/Home Away system increases costs for both us and you. 90% of customers by via email through etransfer. Thanks.
