An original pre 1890’s house two blocks off Main Street, the Mairs House was typical for the period of Breckenridge’s mining era, simple and functional. When it was rehabilitated in 1998, the current owners kept the intimate and cozy charm but added updated amenities (indoor plumbing, electricity and the like). We've had our first snowstorms (kicking off the 2017 - 2018 ski season) and the home is ready to welcome guests and visitors to our lovely town.

Boasting two queen bedrooms and one full bedroom, the house is an oasis after a day on the slopes, hiking in the Arapahoe National Forest or simply exploring the historic town and local watering holes. The spacious Parlor is ready for board games (Parcheesi, anyone?), cocktail hour or purely socializing. One should mention the Kitchen with the new appliances; including the convection oven (perfect for late afternoon cookie baking).

The front yard and rear deck are the go to spots for winter snowball fights or those lazy summer afternoons of putting your feet up, reading and contemplating the joy of being in the mountains.

Quiet but centrally located

Very enjoyable three night stay in this lovely home. Only two blocks from Main Street and all it has to offer, yet removed from the hustle and bustle. Essentially an "upside down" design with two bedrooms on the lower level (which is cooler than the main level) and one bedroom and living room on the main level. Off street parking. Delightful local host who clearly takes pride in the home.

Great 2017 Spring Break

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was perfect and we had no need to use our car. We could walk to main street, the gondola, or to restaurant row. The property was immaculate and perfect for our family of four. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for us

We (Dad/Mom + two teens and a 2 year-old) stayed in this home over Christmas break 2016.

This home is well taken care of. We had all the amenities we needed which were provided by the owner. The house is very clean and in a perfect location with a parking spot (without a parking spot this town would have been a nightmare over the Christmas holiday).

I only have positive things to say about this property. I've stayed at other properties using HomeAway and none of them were this well taken care of. I would recommend this property to another family who needs 3 bedrooms.

Great home away from home!!!

We couldn't of asked for a better place to stay in Breckenridge. This home was perfect...we didn't want to leave!!!

Lee met us when we arrived to show us around the house and he was only a text away if we had any questions.

We parked our car and didn't need it until we left. We walked everywhere....the location couldn't of been any better!!!

The home was spotless, totally updated, very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We will definitely visit

Breckenridge again and we hope we are lucky enough to stay in Lee's home again. Thanks for sharing your home Lee!!!

Great house close to restaurants

What a great house! Very clean, modern, and well-kept. Owner was easy to work with and very responsive to any needs. You can walk to all the restaurants, bars, and shops on Main Street very easily. Will definitely be back for a stay again-

Where to start? Once you park your car, leave the keys in a safe place; you won’t be using them for the rest of your trip (maybe to access a trailhead or two or for a quick run down to the Outlets at Silverthorne). Food, entertainment, cultural events and outdoor activities beckon the moment you wake up (you may wish to walk half a block to Amazing Grace for a cup of coffee and plan out your day) and are literally within a five-block radius. Of course, if first tracks is your desire, either jump on the bus (stops at both ends of the block) or walk the three blocks to the gondola and be whisked up to Breckenridge Ski Area Peak 8 base.

When was the last time you saw an actual Fourth of July Parade? Breckenridge tips the hat to Norman Rockwell (with a little Salvador Dali mixed in for good measure) each summer with a weeklong celebration of the incredible journey this country has made over the last 238 years, culminating with a fireworks display for residents and guests alike (best viewed from the front lawn). This just gets the Town warmed up for the full slate of summer events and whets the appetite for the first flakes of snow to fall and the true holiday season to begin.
