The Front Porch is one of the newest homes in the beautiful Seacrest Beach community nestled between Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach. Built in September 2013, it is a craftsman style Southern-Living floor plan with 2400 square feet. The main Kitchen/dining/living area opens up to the inviting 10-foot deep front porch with 3 sets of French doors. It is awaiting your next family get away! Our home is comfortable for 1 or 2 families – having 4 bedrooms and a large living room/dining room/kitchen area with space for everyone to gather. It sleeps 10-12. It is 2 blocks from the 12,000 square-foot pool area and the beach is an easy 5 minute walk, or you can call or flag down the free tram to pick you up at the front door.

The gourmet kitchen has a gas stove, stainless steel appliances and beautiful granite countertops. It is fully stocked with all of your cooking needs including a Keurig coffee maker as well as a drip coffee maker, blender, toaster, crockpot, pots, pans and the ever important garlic press! The kitchen is open to the dining and living area creating a large room that is comfortable for everyone to gather.

Just off the kitchen is the large 10 foot deep “Front Porch” with a separate outdoor kitchen having a Weber gas grill, sink and mini-fridge to keep your refreshments cold. It is convenient to all of the essentials in the main kitchen. There is table seating and a conversation set on the front porch as well. Sit and enjoy coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the afternoon while awaiting your steaks to be done!

There is a fireplace in the main living area for those coming down in the Fall and Winter and a 46-inch flat screen TV above it. In addition to the main living area and 3 bedrooms, the main floor has a half bath and a laundry room.

The 2nd floor is a large bunk room with 2 matching bunks, each having a full-sized and twin-sized bed as well as a pull-out sofa bed. Altogether the bunk room can sleep 5-7. There is a 46” flat screen TV with a DVD player and a private bath/shower. We have shelves full of books, games, DVDs, and beach toys for your use. It is a great place for the kids to hang out and play games, giving the adults quiet-time for an afternoon respite on the main floor.

Each bedroom as well as the family room has a flat screen tv, and full cable and internet access.

Outside, there is also a handy enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water to wash off the sand from the beach. And there is parking for 4 cars.

Once you park your car, you won’t need it for the rest of the week! In addition to the neighborhood pool and beach nearby, the shops and restaurants of Rosemary Beach are walking distance, where you can rent bikes, grab a cup of coffee, browse the shops and enjoy an ice cream cone. Our kids love to scour the candy shop at least once during the week! There are also award winning restaurants within walking distance, for everyone’s tastes including steaks, seafood, pizza, Mexican, & Italian. You don’t want to miss Charlie’s donut truck in Alys Beach which offers gourmet donuts until they are sold out. It’s a motivation for our kids to wake bright and early and walk or bike over for some gourmet donuts – A delicious beach tradition! You can rent chairs on the beach, play volleyball, or just sit back and relax.

Seacrest Beach, on scenic 30-A, is the perfect place to gather the family to enjoy sugar white sand, emerald waters and the largest swimming pool in the area! Seacrest neighbors the beautiful communities of Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach, and is only 10 minutes from world renowned Seaside and Watercolor communities. Biking trails, tennis courts, and Camp Creek (Fazio design) Golf course are only minutes away. A 30-mile walk, jog, bike trail is at your doorstep. You can rent YOLO boards, kayaks, go fishing, boating, visit one of the nearby State parks, shop at the outlets, take in a show, visit a Spa, or have a bonfire set up on the beach. Just ten minutes down the road is the brand new Pier Park--the premier shopping destination for the entire Emerald Coast. Pier Park boasts a brand new 16-theatre Grand Cineplex and 1.1 million square feet of open-air shopping, attractions and luxury dining. You can enjoy the new Bonefish Grill, Carabba's, or sip a coffee at the Pier Park Starbuck's. Or watch the sun set from the newly renovated pier and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville! There’s also a Target and WalMart store for anything you might have forgotten.

About Deb Zahariades

We discovered 30A a few years ago and quickly fell in love. We've been looking for vacation property for years and knew this was the place for us. We bought our first home 'Catching Some Zzs' with friends and have had great success in managing and renting it.

Deb Zahariades purchased this house in 2013

Why Deb Zahariades chose Beaches of South Walton

We stayed in a similar home in Palmetto Bluffs, SC and thought this would be the perfect floor plan for Seacrest Beach. We had to first find a lot that could handle it since it has a wider footprint than many of the lots in the neighborhood. It was important for us to be close to the pool and the beach. Once we found a lot that would handle the dimensions, we moved forward.

What makes this house unique

We loved this Southern Living floor plan because of the spacious main living area. Many of the homes in Seacrest sleep a lot of people, but are tall and narrow. This home lends it's space to the main living area and the bunk room where groups can gather comfortably - not to mention the large front porch with plenty of room to hang out. The 3 french doors open up from the main living area to the huge front porch and the outdoor kitchen is right off the main kitchen offering easy access to everything.

We had a wonderful stay at the front porch! There were 10 of us. We had plenty of space for all. The kitchen had plenty of seating for us. The front porch was great!! The ceiling fans kept us cool in the summer heat.. the home was beautifully decorated with a beach theme. We love every minute!

From Texas and Tennesee

We could not have been more pleased with our Front Porch experience! From all the little touches of décor, to the available amenities to make our vacation easier (boogie boards, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, outside kitchen, grill, FANTASTIC ice machine, etc), we loved every minute at the Front Porch. The proximity to restaurants, coffee shops, markets, local shops, the candy stores, the Farmer's Market, the BEACH, and the community pool made it so functional for a group with kids ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 16 years old. We had plenty of space for two families to come together. The kids adored the upstairs with bunk beds for each set of kids. The girls were able to hide from the boys with the privacy curtains. The bathrooms are all filled with drawers, containers, shelves and HOOKS for all the towels. So nice of Deb to think about those details. Speaking of Deb, she was phenomenal to work with. She was responsive, answered all of our questions and gave us a FANTASTIC feeling going into the week. We have no need to stay anywhere else next time we visit 30A. Thank you again Deb, for building the FRONT PORCH!

Great beach house

  • 5 of 5

This is our 2nd year to rent this home and certainly won't be our last! The floor plan is perfect with 3 bedrooms on the main level and an incredible upstairs bunk room. The bunks which are on either side of the room even have curtains so that you can have privacy. It's complete with its own bath, tv and sofa bed.

The living space is spacious with an open kitchen concept and huge dining table. The table comes in handy to eat on but most importantly for many games of Mexican train dominos. ( my grandkids are hooked on this game every vacation).

Furnishings are comfortable and have the perfect beach effect!

Deb, is so pleasant to work with and always so prompt. We're looking forward to next year at The Front Porch!

What a beach house should look like!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had an incredible spring break at this gorgeous Seacrest Beach home. My wife and I took our three teenagers, and thier three friends to the beach for a week. We chose the house because of the pictures on VRBO, and we were not disappointed. The layout of the house was perfect for us. The four boys slept in the bunk/bonus room upstairs, and both of the girls had their own rooms. The master suite was fantastic, and the kitchen/great room served as the gathering place at mealtime and for after dinner games or movies. Our favorite room in the house was the front porch. It's where we grilled out dinner twice during the week, and enjoyed our coffee in the mornings. The corner lot made the front porch the perfect location to meet other guests who were strolling by. We had friends over for dinner one night, and one of them commented, "Now this is what a beach house should look like!" We all agreed, and we would gladly recommend this to anyone else taking a family vacation to 30A.

Great floor plan and arrangement for large gatheri

  • 4 of 5

This house was absolutely wonderful! We loved the front porch as my daughters and I are early risers. We could slip out in the early morning hours and not disturb our husbands and the grand-children. The fans kept the bugs away and the lights were great even if the sun had not yet risen. With 4 1/2 baths, everyone had the privacy they needed. The pool is just a short distance down the street, and it is the nicest pool I have ever seen. Getting to the beach could be a bit challenging if you have a lot of gear to transport. Our "men" went deep sea fishing with Captain David and caught 243 pounds of fish--47 pounds dressed. They had a ball. The shops were within easy walking distance and the kids (and adults) road bikes all over the area. There is a lovely walking and running trail where the hardier members of our group ran each morning.

The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is that we had problems with the refrigerator leaking water and the disposal being stopped up keeping that side of the sink from draining. I reported it the following morning, and maintenance came and removed the object that was in the disposal. They said they would correct the water problem after we left. Because I own a vacation home, we were diligent in trying to keep the water from causing further damage--which meant we were constantly wiping up water and keeping beach towels lying on the floor.

We ate at Bayou Bill's and loved it--short wait for our party of 12. Needless to say with so much fish, we cooked in.

The decor is lovely. We were grateful for the opportunity to use this home for our family vacation.

Owner's Response: So glad you truly enjoyed our "Front Porch" and all it has to offer. Glad to know you enjoyed the neighorhood pool and the great walking trails. I'd love to find out which fishing charter you used, sounds like an awesome fruitful (fish-full) excursion. Thanks so much for taking care of our home and the water line issue. Had we known that there continued to be a water problem even after maintenance was out, we would have had them out again. We have since had the problem fixed, and we truly appreciate your diligence with keeping the area dry. We do hope to have you back again.
