About Megan Anderson

We are adventure lovers and always look forward to spending time in Colorado, no matter what time of year.

Megan Anderson purchased this house in 2005

Why Megan Anderson chose Kremmling

We enjoy everything outdoors - hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing - and Whiteley Peak Ranch is in the middle of everything! It is a working ranch where you can also enjoy plentiful wildlife sightings.

What makes this house unique

In the winter, snow conditions vary mountain to mountain. Staying in a central location allows you to pick and choose which resort you'd like to explore. Summertime affords the same benefit as you are able to use the Ranch as a home base to explore everything that Colorado has to offer!

Beautiful ranch with a lot to see and do. Small Bison herd right on the property to take great pictures, hiking, biking, and a lot of snow activities. Having Rabbit Ears Pass right up the road there is also so much to do and play in the great outdoors.

Great Secluded Property

  • 5 of 5

Our 2nd stay here and the house was just as amazing as the first. Great views, comfy living arrangements and friendly horses. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get away for a few days.

Good for a guys trip, but not great for women or small children

  • 3 of 5

The property itself is charming, an old ranch located by the river with cool old barns , complete with two horses and an old barn cat adding to the charm. The rental process was great, friendly and accommodating, even waiving the pet fee for our dog. The house however would mainly appeal to a guy group. The rooms and shelves were over cluttered with animal remains; from bird talons, to alligator heads, framed bugs and scorpions, and jawbones, the walls were covered in animal heads wearing mardi -grass beads and hats, alligator skins and pelts, and a mish- mash of signed aviator pictures and old ski posters. Mixed in were shell casings, war paraphernalia, which was interesting but honestly, just too much stuff lying everywhere. Guns were in the closets, as was ammo, which isn't safe for curious or young children. The house was not very clean, cobwebs in light fixtures, under beds the dust was thick, trash and old socks there, ( was checking to make sure nothing i had unpacked rolled under it) The property was overpriced for what it delivered, we rent frequently from Kremmling to Steamboat. I Left feeling like the owner was someone interesting who we'd like to meet someday; a man with stories to tell. Though we would probobly not rent this home again, I will say my 16 year old son thought the place was pretty cool, as he loves war history and guns! So, if you are a mans man, a great hunter or fisherman, and don't mind clutter , this might very well be your next rental! ;)

Owner's Response: I'm sorry that your stay was not up to your expectations as we've felt that the pictures accurately depict our home as it is our working ranch. The firearms we have are locked and what you found were non-working antiques that used to hang on our wall.

Amazing location. Beautiful views. Peaceful, quiet and remote. Owner and caretakers were very helpful. House has large bedrooms and huge kitchen area that our family really enjoyed. There is no internet or cell coverage, but that added to the quality family time. We hope to return soon.

This place is awesome. Wasn't sure if it would smell like a old farm house, it did not at all, smelled clean, and was well kept! Felt like I was staying at grandmas farm house without Gramdma's smell. LOL We were a group of snowmobile riders and this place couldn't be any better. Only 20 min from some of the best riding in Colorado at Rabbit Ears Pass. We will be back. This Place is perfect for a big group!
