Gracious Estate with Amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

We had my husband 65th Birthday here. The house was very comfortable with everything you could want.

Our family had the best time! The property and house are spectacular ! We had a yoga instructor come and do a session on the back lawn overlooking the mountains! It was so beautiful and peaceful. Eric the Caretaker was so attentive and willing to help in anyway he could. This is a house you come to and you don't want to leave. We will be back!!

Stunning cozy home with amazing views

  • 5 of 5

Where to begin? We were welcomed by Eric and Cassie, two amazing and friendly people...Cassie even baked us cookies!! The house was so clean we couldn't believe it for how big it is and the attention to detail and decorations were exceptional....we would open a book and the author had autographed it...just to show the time and love it went to make this house a cozy vacation home! The children and adults loved to hike to the barn to give treats to Sissy the dog and the other farm animals! A big treat was seeing a bear cub on the way home one night cuddling a tree! We also saw tons of turkeys and deer! It was so relaxing and cozy sitting by the fire at night, playing pool and board games all provided by the house!! We definitely recommend this relaxing, stunning home to anyone! Come, relax and recharge! We did! Thank you again for everything and we hope to come back as soon as possible! We had snow flurries but we hope next time we have tons of snow :)

Family Reunion at Laurelgate

  • 5 of 5

Our family reunion for Thanksgiving at Laurelgate was exceptionally wonderful. The property afforded luxury accommodations for our family and everyone was very comfortable. The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Eric and Cassie, Caretakers, were available to orient us to the property and available to answer any questions during our stay. The property which is located at the peak of the mountain has panoramic views of the Blue Ridge and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets were enjoyed each day. The gourmet kitchen was well stocked and cooking Thanksgiving dinner was a joy. We gathered each evening by the fire place to relax in the company of our family. The younger members of the family enjoyed hiking and mountain biking the beautiful trails as well as playing basketball on the tennis/basketball court. The putting green was great for the older golfers and everyone enjoyed the nightly pool games in the media/game room. We could not have asked for a more perfect vacation.

Lovely Mountain Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We throughly enjoyed our stay in this home. The kitchen is suprizing well stocked with equipment and although the appliances are older, they work flawlessly. There is a fair amount of taxidermy, though it should be expected in a hunting theme home. The grounds are meticulously kept and although maid service is not provided the garbage was removed daily. We did have an issue with a shower and an A/C unit and Eric, the grounds keeper, addressed the issues immediately and did not impede our day. We all hope to return. One downside is Wifi is only 3G cell and only accessible from the kitchen.

Magical Holiday Retreat in the Mountains!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment you drive through the gate and up the mountain you will be pampered with the stunning beauty of this 75 acre property. We had college age children for our holiday retreat and they were never bored, with an entire lower level filled with pool table, tennis table, popcorn machine, movie theater, and game table, Laurel Gate is truly like a cruise in the mountains. I loved the restaurant grade kitchen and made great use of it, serving 14 guests for dinner one evening. The kitchen is stocked with EVERYTHING you need! The table settings were absolutely stunning, complete with crystal goblets! The two way fireplace was put to good use. I cannot begin to imagine how long it takes the owners to decorate, but you MUST see it to believe it, truly a Magical Christmas Hideaway, with lights and decor in every corner. The views are, of course, stunning as you are literally in the clouds. The accommodations were beyond comfortable, all of the seven full beds/baths were amazing. The grounds have so much to offer as you can see from this listing, and Eric the caretaker will be there in a snap if you have any questions or issues. We brought our two small dogs and they were quite comfortable as well. The hiking is so great in this area and we took advantage of the awesome weather in December this year. Hendersonville is literally just down the mountain with some great restaurants, but you are also just within 25 minutes of Asheville, and we have friends there as well. Asheville is an artists mecca and has more restaurants than you can visit in 10 days. We truly enjoyed our vacation, HIGHLY recommend you go ASAP. We will be back one day we hope!

Family gathering

  • 5 of 5

We have an annual family trip and it is difficult to find a home that accommodates babies through 60 year old. But we struck gold with Laurelgate!!! It is beautiful, comfy and perfect! There is plenty of room for everyone and plenty to do on the property. Putt putt, petting zoo, tennis, basketball, hiking, hot tub, pool table, popcorn machine........

Eric, the caretaker, was helpful and he and his wife had everything perfect including fresh flowers!

All of us enjoyed it! The grandchildren kept saying they didn't want to leave!

We had some dinners out and some we cooked in the wonderful huge kitchen. We found great restaurants in town and great bbq in Flat Rock.

We all enjoyed outings to some of the areas parks, etc.

We would recommend this property to anyone!!
