Quiet 2nd floor 2 Br / 2 Bth apartment with Kitchen, Balcony & Private Parking

This private oasis apartment is perfect for 2 couples or a Family (maximum 6) The Rental Price is based on two Adult. We charge an Extra $22.00 per person/per night for extra Guests.

No Animals and No Smoking Allowed in and around the premises. (No Smoking 25' from the building) No Exceptions! The apartment is conveniently located in downtown Dana Point the do called Lantern District and has everything you need to enjoy the California sunshine and breezes year round.

The apartment has been recently renovated and is fully equipped to be your comfortable home away from home. The spacious master bedroom has carpet floors, a queen-size bed, a 4-drawer dresser, private bathroom, and a huge walk in closet. The second bedroom has a full size bed with mirrored closet. French doors in the living room lead to a den/office with a Futon which converts to a Full size bed, should you need an additional sleeping accommodation, + a computer desk with access to an iMac and free WiFi connectivity. Two full size bathrooms have tiled flooring with enclosed shower and toilet. The large living room has wood flooring with a comfy couch/hide a bed, a gas log fireplace, a Smart Digital LCD WIFI TV (No Cable) and a blue ray DVD player. The kitchen is well-equipped with a gas stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and large refrigerator with ice and water in the door. There is an enclosed private laundry room with washer/dryer and storage. (we provide 2 beach chairs, bogey boards, Umbrella, Ice box and beach towels) One private designated Guest Parking spot is included on the premises in the front driveway near the main entrance door of apartment A.

You will be within walking distance of the Dana Point Harbor, the beach, fabulous restaurants and markets. One of Southern California’s most famous beaches, The Strands at Salt Creek, is minutes away. This beach is frequented by the guests of the Ritz-Carlton and the St. Regis hotels. Who knows? You may run into someone famous. Educate yourself about the local sea life and explore the tide pools at the world-class Orange County Ocean Institute, also within walking distance. Local activities readily available include golf, tennis, hiking, sailing, boating, biking, paddle boarding, jet skiing, and much, much more. Check out the Dana Point calendar for other seasonal events. like the world famous "Doheny Blues Festival" in May.

If you want to venture out of Dana Point, there are an assortment of venues to explore. Among them are Disneyland (40 min.), Sea World, the famous San Diego Zoo, and Legoland (all within a 1 hour drive). The beautiful, “artsy” town of Laguna Beach, home of the Art Festival, is a short 15 minute drive away to the north. Ten minutes to the south is San Clemente with its charming downtown, pier, beautiful beaches and the locals’ favorite surf spots. The historic town of San Juan Capistrano is 15 minutes away. You can visit the restored San Juan Capistrano Mission, stroll the quaint Los Rios district where you will find restaurants, antique and gift shops, art galleries, or take the little ones to the petting zoo. The John Wayne O.C. Airport is 30 minutes north; LAX is 60 minutes north.

This is a coastal community on the Pacific Ocean with steady dry temperature of 70 plus during the day year round. It can be cold before Sunrise and after Sunset in the Winter time so make sure you bring a Sweater and a Jacket.

Amazing - Great Location - Samy is a GEM

We just stayed at this location Sept 7-12.- from Canada

Samy was incredible, the place was immaculate, and the neighborhood was perfect. It was walking distance to everything including the free trolley that would take you either way up Pacific Coast Highway. Samy was amazing, very helpful, and always available for recommendations, sights, etc. He was incredibly kind.

I highly recommend this location to anyone thinking about going. Not only will I be back, but I will stay with him again.

The property is great. Pictures are accurate and location is fantastic.

Be aware: the property sleeps 6, but the advertised rate is for TWO PEOPLE ONLY. The owner will charge you $22 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for anything over 2 people. And he will be there when you check in and "around" frequently. And if you do have more then two people he will ask that you settle with him for cash which is shady and against Homeaway policies. He tried that with me over the phone when I booked and then 3 times is person at the property during my stay. So if you have a family you can increase your rate $22 per night per person. It is unfortunate the owner is so unscrupulous because it really is a wonderful property.

Owner's Response: I am not sure who is shady; the guest who tried to swindle the owner for owed money or the owner for trying to enforce the written and well advertised rental fees. HMMMMM AND ... A beautiful satin comforter had to be replaced after these guests.

Comfy Clean & Convenient

Our landlord Sami was a super friendly host with an extraordinary background regarding Olympic Volleyball. The description says 2 bedroom but has a nice size private office with an extremely comfy futon that my son loved so it really is a 3 bedrooms. The apartment takes up the whole second floor and is just 3 or 4 short blocks to 2 trolley stops (Dana Point has a free trolley around the town to all the beaches). There is also a Circle K a block away and several coffee shops in each direction. We went to 4 beaches, our favorite for boogie boarding was Strands although there are LOTS of stairs (but there's a Funicular too which the kids loved). Baby beach was nice for renting paddle boards or kayaks (it's like a Bay). Loads of good restaurants all within walking or Trolley distance. Also the Trolley connects to Laguna beach's Trolley system. The apartment has a washer / dryer out back in a shed along with 2 sand chairs, beach umbrella, older boogie boards and a cooler. Out front is also a covered picnic table for renters use. It was 1 1/2 hours to San Diego Zoo and under an hour to Disneyland so is a great way for us East Coasters to visit Southern California. Pleasant decor, comfortable beds, & nice weather, all add up to a lovely vacation!

Clean property in working class section of Dana Point.

Property very clean and people helpful. Beds were marginal and uncomfortable, WFI TV was useless, Air Conditioning worked half the time and property suited to people that like a city environment.

Guest: Fri. 7/7/2017 @ 11:49 PM PDT + several other call attempt after midnight Where is the AC? The thermostat is showing 83 F Owner: Sat. 7/8/2017 @ 9:00 AM PDT Due to the fact that I live downstairs, I called first thing in the morning and went upstairs to inspect the problem. When I entered the apartment I was appalled at the condition and saw Marijuana paraphernalia and a Beer on the dinning room table (The apartment is designated as a Non-Smoking Environment) A notorious odor was present! In regard to the AC, the Fan on the thermostat was ON but the AC was not working due to the fact that the circuit breaker was Off ??, After turning it ON the AC started flowing a cool breeze, so I helped them close all windows to help cool the apartment. After several hours the Temperature went from 83 to 76. Sun. 7/9/2017 @ 8:07 PM PDT Hello XXXX, I Just want to let you know that I am always available from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm 7 days a week. I hope that you and your wifei are very comfortable, now that the AC is keeping you cool. If you read the VRBO listing description you will find that you are breaking one of the most Important House Rule "No Smoking" Vaping is considered smoking and leaves a residual unpleasant odor. If you must Vape please do it in your car at least 25' from the building. Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter. Enjoy the rest of your stay! Samy, xxx-xxx-xxxx (No Texting) Guest: Sun. 7/9/2017 @ 8:30 pm PDT through a phone conversation, he complained again that it was not cool enough, so I brought in a Fan and placed it in the bedroom until I can contact AC Tech to solve the problem. Owner: Mon. 7/10/2017 @ 7:00 AM PDT, I started calling AC companies trying to find a Technician to rectify the problem, Non available immediately but the First available was Saturday. Guest: Mon. 7/10/2017 @ 11:38 PM PDT I will be guided by your wishes. It was rare since I am gone about 15 hours each day. I apologize. Owner: Wed. 7/12/2017 @ 11:00 AM PDT, One of the AC companies contacted me that due to a cancellation in the area a Technician can come between 1:00 and 4:00 PM to rectify the problem. So I called Mr. XXXX immediately to get permission to enter the premises. Upon arrival the technician showed me that cold air flowing from the AC was around 69F and when he left it was 57F.
