Rob Rawnsley purchased this house in 2005
This home was purchased by us for Rebecca's mother who very sadly passed away last year from cancer at the young age of 66. She planned to live in this home for the next 20 years and kept it immaculately neat and clean. There is nearly brand new carpeting and the home has been recently repainted. We have made many upgrades and improvements to the home while getting it ready to become a vacation property.
Since this home is our family's home and was never intended to be a rental, you will find it equipped with far more items than would be in a typical vacation rental.
The place is clean, and in a good location, but so many little things that for a $500 (taax deductible) investment , the place could be great. Very thin and polyester sheets are very uncomfortable. I didn't even know they made sheets with that non-breathing material. The hot water is cold in the second shower, and the cold hot. We figured it out, however in the master, the hot water never did fully come on. In the kitchen, knives that I hadn't seen since the 70's... and cupboards full of every mismatched item you can imagine. I'd throw it all out and invest in a new set of knives, glasses, pots/pans, plates, utensils, etc. Very easy, and not overly expensive.
All that said, the A/C worked well, there is a washer and dryer which is nice for the longer visits, the walk in closet was great, and always appreciate plenty of hangers. The visit was fine, but so easy to make it "great".
Had a good stay. Had a problem with vacuum and bbq grill but other than that everything was fine. Nice place to spend to winter.
We know this community well as my in-laws live a block away; it was close enough, but not too close ;)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The patio looks over a beautiful courtyard with lots of great wildlife. We watched pheasant families, lizards, hummingbirds, doves, and other types of birds. The grounds of this community are delightful and well maintained. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub.
It was "summer" when we stayed here so many of the neighbors were away, but we had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Nancy and her precious dog Teddy. As you drive or walk the grounds it's VERY common for those you pass to wave and smile; very friendly community.
We will recommend this property to other family members. We LOVE LOVE LOVE Fryes Sushi. It is reasonably priced and delicious.
Thank you Rob and family for sharing your home with us. God Bless! Tom and Heidi C.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was exactly as shown in the pictures, and clean and comfortable. The neighbors were nice & friendly. We would rent this home again if available for another trip.
This property was perfect for my trip to Phoenix. I would highly recommend this to others. Very Clean, well kept and maintained. This had everything from Wifi to Washer/Dryer. I will say that I would caution couples who need room to sleep (my hubby is 6'2" and did not join me on this trip) that the Master bed is quite small. The Master closet is huge though! Second Bedroom had a comfy daybed with trundle and desk/computer/printer. I did play goldilocks a bit to find the most comfy bed, as the Master was very firm. :) Grocery store with various food options and gas station was conveniently located nearby, though perhaps not within walking distance for some. If you had more than one vehicle, one of you would need to park on the street. The club facilities are only for those 55+ so I did not register to use them. I was a woman staying alone and felt very safe and secure, all in all it was a wonderful experience. The owner was quick to answer any questions I had and finding the property and the key was a breeze and I felt very well informed.
