I cannot receive VRBO payments because they take too high of a percentage. I'm happy to guide and advise luddites on registering for either venmo or paypal.

About Julie Morse

Sisters Julie and Erin are owners of this East Orleans sanctuary. We call California and Boston our homes. We grew up spending many summers and winter weekends at our Orleans house and love to share its charming spirit with others.

Julie Morse purchased this house in 1998

Why Julie Morse chose Cape Cod

About eight years ago, my sister, Erin and I inherited this home from our father. He and our mother designed it themselves. It was our father's sanctuary that he intended to be our family's first heirloom. We are continuing his tradition of renting it out to responsible and thoughtful families and individuals.

What makes this house unique

Our home has always had a special, charismatic energy. It is a retreat - a place to get away from the monotony of work and routine. It's just barely hidden by trees and long driveway, yet has great lighting and is very close to stunning Nauset Beach and restaurants.

A restful and relaxing escape.

  • 5 of 5

A vacation is to relax and escape from every day life. We have been staying here for about 8 years and find the house fills the bill completely, it has all anyone could be looking for with a very private location. The house is everything you need for a summer vacation home. Near to the beaches both ocean side and bay side. Great for trips to "P" town for shopping, bike trails and National Seashore and easy trip to take the ferry to the islands. Also near a fantastic selection of restaurants for everyone's tastes. If you want, you never have to leave the house, sit on the deck and enjoy the sun or relax in the shade of the trees

9 Pheasant Drive East Orleans

  • 5 of 5

My family has been enjoying the Morse House in East Orleans for many, many years. The past few years we have been booking our stay for 2 weeks, which I highly recommend! The house is spacious, comfortable and is situated in a private location. We love the deck and yard and make use of it as much as possible. The access to the beaches and dining locations in town are excellent. In addition, access to the bike trail and Nickerson State Park make the location ideal for the active vacationer. We always look forward to our next summer vacation the minute we leave.

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

This is a perfect location...close to beaches, restaurants, stores, yet private and secluded. We have rented in Orleans for years and have found this home has it all. Layout is perfect, user friendly for all ages. We had family visits with babies and had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Well built home so sounds don't travel. Deck and yard are spacious and private, ideal for cookouts or just relaxing. Owner very easy to contact and work with. We look forward to renting this home again this year.

Great house, great location!

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed at this wonderful house for four years now, and we always leave anxious to return. My son's family came and stayed with us the first year and there was plenty of room for all of us. It is such a quiet neighborhood we sleep better there than we do at home. It is a long walk to the beach or a short drive, and we go at least once a day. We watch the sun rise at the beach or take a short drive to the bay side for the sun set. Being centrally located on the Cape it is a short drive to Chatham for great shopping or a bit longer drive for a day trip to P;town, which is always an adventure. We now are staying twice a year and look forward to each trip.

Cute area!

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time visiting Cape Cod, and I did not know what to expect when I was headed there with my husband and a couple of our friends. We had great weather the first half of the week, but the second half of the week, it was rainy and cool. Lucky for us, we were staying in this cozy home nestled in Orleans! It wasn't 300 square feet like I have stayed in previously, so we had plenty of room to hang out or do our own thing if we wanted to! It's so peaceful and quiet around with no lack of wild animals hanging around the area. I would have felt as if we were camping if it weren't for the spacious rooms and beautiful property. The beach is a quick 2 minute drive just a mile away, and the center of town is a short 5 minute drive. My first trip to the Cape was definitely a memorable one- Thank you Julie!

Nauset Beach

East Orleans village features ocean coves on three sides. On many nights you can hear the ocean waves crashing at Nauset. You can take walks in many directions taking you to hidden coves or public boat launches or to clam digging areas or to beautiful Nauset Beach.

Take your bike (or rent one) and go on the Cape Cod Bike Trail. Take your kayak (or rent one) and go exploring on a nearby pond or saltwater march. Take your camera and take pictures of many types of birds in the backyard.

Skaket Beach is the best salt water beach for young kids anywhere. At low tide the water goes out a quarter mile leaving many tidal pools and streams for kids to play in and lots of beach space for adults to escape to.

Both Orleans beaches have lifeguards, outdoor showers, restrooms and snack bars.

Enjoy a delightful evening theater experience at the Orleans Playhouse just down the street.

After dinner, go have an ice cream at the nearby Sundae School and take it with you to the Orleans Cardinal's Cape Cod League baseball game 2 miles away (mid June to mid August). You'll think you've entered into a Norman Rockwell painting from 50 years ago.

Or after dinner, go to the Chocolate Sparrow for your favorite coffee drink and a decadent dessert then go down to Skaket Beach and watch a beautiful sunset over Cape Cod Bay.
