Excellent location, nice and clean!!!

  • 5 of 5

Close to several sites to see and the Mickelson trail right out the door. Daily we saw several deer, turkey and once a couple elk. We went to Custer State Park, Needles Hwy, Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, Keystone, and Horse Theif Lake. The home provided a great place to come back too after enjoying the sights. The kitchen is very well equipped. Our favorite part was the patio/deck out back...plenty of room, nice furniture, gas grill and gas fireplace, it doesn’t get much better than that.

Comfy Ranch Bungalow

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here last weekend of Sturgis rally and following week. Super clean/comfy bungalow in ranch country just south of Custer so you saw horses and deer out front window, which faced away from highway and gave serene view. Michelson trail literally in front yard so was fantastic access and we rode bicycles on it. Very quiet here in evenings and at night. Nice covered deck to sit outside and bbq or enjoy propane grill. Short gravel driveway down from hwy to house quite doable for motorcycles though you need to use appropriate caution as you are on slight angle still when entering road. Was a bonus having double attached garage to use for cars/bikes etc. Tim & Dawn have great instructions inside house and are very accessible and great to communicate with. We only had two couples for our stay but indeed this is an excellent place for a large family or two families with a couple kids etc. Great kitchen with all kinds of pots/bowls etc- just couldn't find a kettle. Washer/dryer very handy and having satellite tv was great! Like a prev review, our friends said the frame on the large master bedroom bed made it a bit tough as you tended to crawl over partner to enter/exit and its height might be a touch diff for older folks. Small issue I almost feel bad raising but might be helpful for some to know. Beds were super comfy though. I would have no hesitation booking here again. Thank you Tim & Dawn.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the nice review! So glad you enjoyed your stay and your trip to the beautiful Black Hills! I don't have kettles in any of my rentals, I guess I just assume everyone does what I do and boils water in the microwave. The bed does just fit in the master bedroom, up but I really wanted to have a king size bed in there rather than another queen, I know after sleeping in a king at home I much prefer it over a queen. Thank you for your input and come back and stay again! Tim and Dawn

Great VRBO for a big group.

  • 5 of 5

Cozy home with plenty of room. We stayed with eleven (4 adults and 7 kids). Great backyard and on the hiking trail. All the little details have been taken care of. Beautiful star gazing. Close to everything! Get up early and go to Custer. Stop at the Rock Shop on your way back. Great stay!

We were all(9 of us) very impressed with the property. A very nice decor.

  • 5 of 5

I give it a 5 star because of the property itself and the owners make sure that it meets every need that you might have. The property has a 2 stall garage, a second refrigerator located in the garage, and it has a covered rear deck with grill, chairs and table for dining. The deck also faces to a forested area and pastures where cows and horses are present. A great place to stay with plenty of beds. It also has a nice TV and Direct TV. I spoke with Dawn right away where she made sure everything was fine.
