Come be one of this first to enjoy this all new South Mission Beach vacation home! The front unit (722 Devon) has 2 bedrooms + a private den, with 3 full baths. The back unit (724 Devon) has an additional 1 bedroom and 1 full bath. Together this duplex comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests!
722 Devon features 2 bedrooms, and a den that acts as a private third bedroom. Each bedroom, including the den, is connected to a full bath. The front of the home has a large deck with outdoor seating and well manicured landscaping. Front door enters into a grand living room, with 20 ft. cathedral ceiling and a gorgeous brick fireplace. A large flat screen TV sits above the fireplace. Home has a great beachy feel, with wood paneled walls, while still being deluxe and modern with granite counters, tiled floors, and other features.
Living area connects to the kitchen and an eating area...A great open concept space for the whole family to enjoy! The kitchen was fully remodeled, with new stainless steal appliances, including a 5-burner glass range. High end granite counters offer lots of prep space, as well as a breakfast bar with barstools. In addition, there is a glass dining table for 4, and outside on the deck there is a table for 6.
The den is just off of the kitchen, separated by a folding door that allows the space to act as a recreational room during the day and be closed off as a private bedroom space for the night. This room has a large flat screen TV and a full-size pullout bed. There is a full bath off of this room as well, with stone sink and glass shower.
The Master bedroom and second guest bedroom are on the second floor. Master bedroom has a plush Queen bed. Beautiful 4-post bed sits in front of a mounted flat screen TV. The bedroom opens into a grand en-suite, with double vanity stone sinks and gorgeous tiled walls. Large glass shower has multiple shower heads, including a rainfall shower. In addition there is a large, freestanding stone tub.
Second bedroom has a Queen bed. This lofted bedroom overlooks the cathedral ceiling into the living room, which offers lots of natural light and a great open feel. Guest bedroom also enjoys an attached balcony. En-suite includes a glass shower and features the same stone and tile details as the master and third bath. Please note, this bedroom is open to the living room without any enclosing available.
724 Devon is a cute and cozy older 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment, situated above the garage. The apartment has it's own living room and kitchen! Entryway opens into a bright living room, a flat screen TV and cable television. The living room has a futon for extra sleep space. Kitchen has bar seating for two plus an additional breakfast table, and the kitchen comes with all cookware and flatware. Bedroom has a Queen size bed and an attached bath.
This property has a 2 car garage, which also houses a brand new washer/dryer. There is also 1 parking space in front of the garage, suitable for smaller vehicles.

A beautiful home!. We were there for a beach wedding and the rest of our party had another home beachfront within easy walking distance. Loved the location, the easy access to the beach. Thank you for directions on how to use showers and open beds. We don't believe any neighbors complained about our children. We did not find the homes garbage containers until the morning we left....afraid we loaded up on the neighbors bins.
The house was great for two families with kids. The location was just what we were looking for as well. The only negative was the older lady neighbor across the court. She was yelling at the kids to be quiet at 6 pm. The pull out sofa in the apartment was not comfortable but kids didn't seem to mind.
House was terrific. Beautiful bathroom and kitchen. Location perfect. Could walk to beach, stores, restuarants and bars. Nice deck. Big tv with plenty of sitting room. Apartment was not as nice. Pull out couch unsuitable for sleeping. Had to sleep a kid on the couch in the living room and study every night. They didn't seem to mind. There is no air conditioning, so Windows need to stay open. There was a lot of construction noise starting at 7am. Additionally houses are very close together. Actually was woken by neighbors alarm clock one morning. Parking is very very tight. Bring a small car.
Beach chairs, boogie boards, towels are available. All in all we were pleased would recommend it and would stay again. Management company was knowledgable and helpful.
My oldest son has a baseball tournament in San Diego every spring break so this year we decided to rent a home and talked extended family from Oregon into joining us. This house was very central to all of San Diego as we were traveling each day to games but it was also very near major attractions. We were a perfect distance to beach (43 steps to be exact) and could easily sit on the deck to enjoy the views. Truthfully, I thought I wanted ocean front but the board walk was always very busy and we would have felt uncomfortable with people watching over us at all time. Only downside is that it is not overly baby/ toddler friendly, but we totally made due. Would rent this place again in a heartbeat, it was very clean, parking was great, walking distance (like a few houses) to food/market/bars, and a few min walk to amusement park. A big thank you to the owners and management company, checking in and booking could not have been easier!
We loved the main house. It was decorated nicely, updated, cozy and had everything we needed. In our group, one couple took the small apartment behind the main house. In our opinion, that apartment should not be rented until it can be upgraded or completely remodeled. It had mold in the shower, the bathroom is way too small, the shower is small, the light fixture in the bedroom did not work at all, it had a crack in the bedroom ceiling, the blinds in the bedroom were broken and it was in a general state of disrepair. If you take it out of the mix, there are only two actual bedrooms in the main house with a third room downstairs that can be closed off and used as a bedroom and it has a bathroom too. So, in the main house you have 3 updated, very clean bathrooms. I give the main house 5 stars. We will consider renting this beach house again if the apartment is remodeled or if we have fewer people so that we don't have to use the apartment.
