1840 sq. ft. 3 Bedroom (King Tempur-Pedic, King, double twins) 2 bath condo in a guard-gated development called Waterside Place and subdivision called the Retreat. It has lake views from family room, master bedroom, and lanai. Large walk-in master closet, breakfast bar, kitchen eat-in, laundry room, attached garage, wireless internet access, raised ceilings, ceiling fans, and cable TV in family room and all bedrooms. New tile, granite counter tops and paint throughout. Amenities include: pool with pavilion, tennis courts, and extensive paved walking/jogging/biking paths. The development is very open and spacious with both beautifully natural and landscaped vistas throughout, the best community around for quiet walks, biking, or peaceful relaxing at the pool.

Perfectly located for outdoor activities, nature watching, dining and shopping, the subdivision has a back entrance on Vanderbilt Drive which runs along the beach, a favorite spot for running and bicycling, and the main entrance is on Tamiami Trail (US41) which is the main drag for all your eating and shopping conveniences. We have bicycles for your free use, including a tandem and two singles. It’s about 3 miles to Delnor-Wiggins Beach State Park with additional close access to Bare Foot Beach (considered to be in top 10 most beautiful beaches in the USA) and Vanderbilt Beach. We often run or bike to the beach. We’re less than a mile from the Cocohatchee River Marina and public park with a full service boat launch right on the inter-coastal and river with bait shop, playground, picnic area, and fast boating/kayaking access to the ocean (marina is less than one nautical mile from ocean). I often kayak and fish there. You are welcome to use our kayak. Lover's Key State Park is a great place to see Manatees and is 12 miles away. We’re 4 miles to Naples’ newest water park, Sun-n-Fun Lagoon, and only minutes to world class dining, shopping and golfing. Or just stop in to Starbucks, Panera, Five Guys and other convenient quality eateries half a mile away and get right back to your favorite activities. There’s great shopping nearby including Naples’ newest high-end outdoor shopping/living community called Mercado ( 5 miles away) with Whole Foods, Nordstrom Rack, movies, restaurants and more, the main downtown areas (13 miles), Waterside Shops (8 miles south), Coconut Point (8 miles north) and great outlet shopping near the Fort Myers airport.


The development has an 18 hole par 3 golf course integrated into the subdivision. It is very short (longest hole 160 yrds), but it looks well kept and I was told you can play 18 with a cart and rental clubs for a total of $20. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet but the greens look well kept and it makes the neighborhood nice and open and green. For the serious golfer there are several top shelf courses near by.

We bought the place and updated it January 2014 with new furniture, decorations, and kitchen ware. All new Kitchen appliances were added in 2015. Photos are attached. Can send additional photos if requested.

Why Tim and Lisa Bell chose The Retreat at Bentley Village

This development is more naturally beautiful than any other development we looked at (and we looked at many) with a combination of openness, natural vistas with lakes and superb landscaping. This property provides us both peaceful relaxation, and very close proximity to more active outdoor recreation that we love so much. The unit itself is more spacious than most we looked at including a large kitchen area and three good sized bedrooms, all with full closets and a large master walk-in and guest walk-in. Views of the lake behind our unit are oustanding and don't look at the back of other condos. Inside and out you get a nice open and relaxed feeling.

What makes this condo unique

The development is a true escape, but so convenient to anything you want to do. Pool and Tennis courts are super close by walking, but quiet and far enough away you won't see or hear them from the condo. Numerous paths for walking, running, biking, roller blading run throughout the development. Escape the traffic out the back gate to beaches, marinas, biking, or go out the front gate to every conceivable dining and shopping venue only minutes away. Walk out the back door and fish for bass or go out the back gate one mile away and backwater fish for Reds and Snooks. We couldn't find a better more beautiful location.

Great Location to Vaction -- close to the beach, dining and shopping.

We rented this unit for the month of February 2014. We were the first renters for this recently purchased home, so everything was in ship shape. The owners have just refreshed the unit with new paint, clean carpets and new furniture. The owners really were thoughtful in what was purchased for their home. Everything you needed was in the kitchen. When we rent vacation properties, we have learned to take whet we call a condo box filled with items that are often needed. Here they really had almost everything we needed. For the future, it would have been nice to have a teapot and a grater, but really everything was there -- even down to a hand held blender. They had two bikes - plus a tandem, and even a kayak with all the necessary equipment - like bike locks and a kayak carrier. They had two beach chairs, umbrellas and two different size coolers. Really they did think of everything. We were very happy there. The unit is in a beautiful location surrounded by trees with a view of a small lake where different types of birds were spotted through out the day. We enjoyed using the pools, hot tub and walking trails. The timer on the washer did not work, and eventually had to be replaced, but the owner had a handyman available to take care of scheduling the repairs.

We liked the area so much that we bought a condo a few miles away. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and great grocery stores. You did not have to go far to get whatever you needed. The owners left us a beach pass which let us explore all the beaches in Collier County. We were very satisfied with this unit.

Located west of Hwy 41 (Tamiami Trail) outdoor activities abound at your doorstep. Only 2.8 miles to beautiful Vanderbilt Beach and Delnor Wiggins Pass State Park. Sunning, beach walks, Dolphin and Bird watching, shelling, kayaking, swimming, biking, fishing and picnicking are popular activities at the park. The marina on Cocohatchee River with full launch and bait services is less than a mile away, accesses miles of backwater, and is less than a nautical mile to open ocean. It also has a full playground and picnic area. Our back entrance open onto Vanderbilt Drive which runs along the beach and is a favorite with bicyclers, walker and runners due to the low traffic and bike/foot path. You can walk, bike, or take the short drive sown Vanderbilt Dr. to all these wonderful recreation venues and avoid the Naples traffic! Grocery, shopping, restaurants, and all modern conveniences are also close by. Head out our front entrance strait down Tamiami Trial to downtown Naples to enjoy the ambiance, shopping, and fine restaurants.
