July Fireworks over the Lake.

check http://www.detroitlakeoregon.org/ for more info

NOTE:

1. Lake water level--We cannot control the water level of the lake. It is controlled by the Army Corp of engineers. During the Spring and Summer, the water from Detroit Lake has multiple purposes including Recreation, fish habitat, as well as irrigation and drinking water for communities down stream. In the winter, Detroit Lake is used as a reservoir for flood control. Normally, Detroit Lake is at it's fullest in May and June and the Corp slowly lowers the level of the water level over the summer until it readies the Lake for the winter precipitation.

2. Cable or Satellite TV-- Unfortunately, cable TV is not offered in the mountain town of Detroit and due to the location of the property, we have been unsuccessful obtaining proper satellite connection. Therefore, we do offer a variety of DVDs, board games and puzzles for family entertainment. There is also DVD rental available at the gas station across the highway.

3. Wifi--we do not have wifi. There is a cell tower in the middle of town giving excellent coverage.

Couldn't have asked for a better location, location, location

  • 5 of 5

Spent an awesome 3 days with my 2 children, 4 grand children, and 3 great grand children. There was plenty for all 4 generations to indulge in and enjoy. Loved the location, the house, the amenities, and the outdoors.

Beautiful Property!!! Very clean and well maintained!

  • 5 of 5

The property was beautiful, it came equipped with everything we could need including little shampoo & conditioners, marshmallow roasting sticks, games & movies, laundry soap. It had stuff we didn't even know we would need. The beds were comfy and plenty of room. It had a beautiful view, the only negative was that the lake was to low, but that had nothing to with the owners or the property. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We had a wonderful stay. Weather was perfect. Grandkids had a lot of fun on the play structures. Fire pit was great in the evenings. Wish lake would have been fuller. Good place for large families.

Snow Trip

  • 5 of 5

Our whole family enjoyed our stay at the cabin, there was enough room for all 15 of us and we were not crowded. As there was not much snow, there was plenty of room for the grandkids to play at the house. The cabin was very comfortable and inviting.
