The Whaler Resort is an award winning oceanfront resort property located directly on Kaanapali Beach! Adjacent to Whalers Village, the largest outdoor shopping mall on the west side of Maui you'll appreciate the great proximity to all the fabulous restaurants, boutiques, art galleries and entertainment spots all just steps away. Our 1 bedroom 2 bath PENTHOUSE OCEANFRONT condo is located in Tower II on the corner offering sweeping oceanfront views that include to the left our island neighbor of Lanai and to the right the island of Molokai with a clear view of Kaanapali Beach all the way to the famous Black Rock known for superb snorkeling and diving conditions. Our condo has been completely remodeled and now features an open floor plan of the living room, dining area and kitchen creating one large great room allowing us to capture all three sides of our breathtaking oceanfront views. Even if you are on kitchen detail we have a large window overlooking the sink area that offers you full oceanfront and Kaanapali Beach views.
We have appointed our home with fine comfortable furnishings including a brand new queen sleeper sofa in the living room. We've created a casual elegant motif in keeping with the over ambience and charm of The Whaler Resort. You'll find extra amenities that we know our visitors appreciate having at their convenience like FREE WIFI INTERNET, an IPOD Doc, Subzero refrigerator, BOSCH appliances including a stacked washer and dryer in our unit, extra comfy pillows, mobile fans, beach assessories like a cooler, beachchairs,umbrella, boogie board, floaties, etc. We also offer grocery delivery service so you can avoid stopping on the way. Once you've confirmed your accommodations we're happy to send you a grocery list prior to your arrival. You simply fill it out and we do the rest!
Our on island licensed management company offers full services that include car rentals, island activities, travel insurance and rentals of equipment to accommodate your childrens needs as well. Be sure to take advantage of all their services and make planning your visit easy and quick!

We live in Nashville Tn. , I am Kelly and have been visiting Maui for ten years . The best memories of my life have been on Maui and I have the photos to prove it!...lol I am an artist and have painted sea turtles and whales every visit. My work is hanging in a local favorite restaurant named Honu.( which means sea turtle ) My friend Ira is an Opthamoligist and owns his own practice here in Nashville called Cornea Consultants. His favorite thing about Maui, besides relaxing. would be the fresh fish, and wonderful local fruits. If you have any questions, or just excited about your trip....please call me. What makes this Condo unique
PENTHOUSE, OCEANFRONT, PRIME CORNER LOCATION, REMODELED INCLUDING THE FURNISHINGS. It was an easy choice for us. As soon as we open the door the oceanviews just jump right out at you. Looking down from our lanai into the water that is everyday a gorgeous acqua blue and so clear you see right through to the sandbar ..as hard as it is to leave the comfort of our lanai the water just beckons you to go for a swim. The corner location gives us the best all around view and being on top floor just adds that additional element of privacy that we enjoy.

Best View on Kaanapali Beach
The unit #1251 was very impressive. Wrap around balcony provides views of the entire beach. Unit was outfitted with everything you need. The space has a very open and airy feel with ceiling to floor windows all round. The only trade off was the ‘smoky’ smell that came from the neighboring restaurant. Close to Whalers Village, golf, dining, and all amenities.

Home Away From Home!
We have been staying at the Whaler within various units for the past 20 years. While we have enjoyed all the units we have stayed in, this one was easily our favorite. As the description notes, the unit is tastefully furnished and has lots of wonderful artwork. The appliances are outstanding. A pleasant surprise was the little touches such as nice mobile fans, a couple small beach chairs and really nice boogie boards. The location of this unit is a bit of a conundrum. This corner location above Whalers Village offers sweeping views of the beach and whatever action is going on at the village, so you hear the outdoor music from the Hula Grill, Leilanies and the periodic events in the village itself. This was a plus for us since everything wraps up early. We also liked that it offers more privacy since you don't have the other tower directly across from you as you have on the courtyard side. The wind is not as strong in this location and the only direct sun on the lanai is in the late afternoon. On paper, this would be my favorite location within the entire complex. Now, the negative is that depending on the wind, the kitchen exhaust for the adjacent Hula Grill can be overpowering on the lanai. If you sit on the lanai, your hair and clothes are going to smell as if you have spent several hours in front of a bar-b-que grill. Also, you can't really open up on those days since the unit will smell for days. It all depends on the wind direction. We made the best of it and feel that the positives outweigh this one negative aspect. Also, Whalers Village is undergoing major renovations for the rest of this year. Lots of construction-related noise for any unit located on the south side of tower 2 during working hours, including weekends. It wasn't a big deal for us since we visit fairly routinely. If this was my first trip to Maui, or the trip of a lifetime, etc., staying on the south side of tower 2 at this time might dampen things a bit....if you let it! Management company was nice to work with and was responsive to a minor maintenance issue we discovered when we checked in. Overall, we loved this unit, and appreciate all the owners have done to make it a welcoming place to stay. Can't wait to return!

Just returned from Maui and this fantastic property. I have to tell you that I don't think I would ever stay in a hotel again after staying in this condo. Everything was perfect. The views are unbelievingly breathtaking . What a gem. Can't wait for our next trip back.

Love this place
We are here and I cannot tell you how much we love this place. We have been coming to the islands for 24 years and this condo surpasses every luxury hotel! My husband had to be on a conference call with Boston and NY this morning 3-6:30am Hawaii time and even used your business center so that he wouldn't wake us up. My niece and nephew in-law want to go on a postponed honeymoon and I am going to send them the info for this property.

Beyond Fabulous Vacation
My husband and I stayed at this penthouse condo for 10 days and had the most amazing vacation. The condo has such a beautiful view of the ocean and the mountains. The balcony is incredible and you can sit out there all day. The condo is extremely spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. We prepared breakfast in the very well-equipped kitchen and ate it on the balcony every morning. The Whaler also has grills that you can use if you don't feel like going to out to dinner. With such a majestic view that it felt as if you were touching the ocean, it was difficult at times to even leave the penthouse. I cannot imagine going to Maui again and staying anywhere else.

The Whaler Resort is located directly in the heart of the famous Kaanapali Beach.Although a car is an added convenience it's not absolutely necessary to have while staying in this central resort area. There is a convenient boardwalk that runs the length of Kaanapali Beach making it easy to access many of the beachside kiosks that offer rentals of beach toy rentals, kayaks,surfboards,boogieboards and more. Walk next door to the largest outdoor shopping mall Whaler's Village which features boutique shopping, art galleries, grocerymart, and a myriad of dining choices. If considering any water excursions most catamaran trips leave directly from our beach!Lahaina Towne rates the #1 tourist attraction on Maui is less than 10 miles south of Kaanapali. A charming waterfront town filled with historical sites, shopping, restaurants, first class art galleries and live entertainment.
