About the property

3 Bedroom/2 Bath home With Upper Deck Overlooking Mountains And Downtown Msl

The Hickory Home is the perfect Missoula, Montana vacation get-away home in the heart of the Garden City! There is a fitness, nutrition and massage studio in the daylight basement of this house! There is a completely seperate entrance from the house. All guests receive 10% off all services, so you can continue your workout routine, or relax with a massage during your stay!!!

We are located one block from the river trail and Natural History Museum, and two blocks from the lovely McCormick Park area where there are walking trails right next to the river, Osprey baseball field, indoor water park, brand new all abilities playground, and skate park!! Just a minutes stroll to downtown Missoula. And within walking distance of both orange street food farm and the good food store, both offer great local produce.

Our uniquely artistic home is a blend of rustic montana, and romantic villa built mostly with reclaimed products.

It is about a 5-7 minute bike ride to downtown or to the university of montana. Very close to st. Patrick hospital. Quiet neighborhood with tons to do for the whole family.

Each room has its own thermostat so you can set it to your comfort. Well insulated.

One bedroom is on the main floor next to the living room with queen size bed. The living room has a pull-out couch. And there is a bathroom between living room and dining room here. There are two bedrooms upstairs, one with a crib and queen size bed, and the master bedroom/bath with queen size bed. From this bedroom you walk through the closet into the bathroom. There is not a door here, but there is a divider you can put up for extra privacy. There is also a door from that bathroom leading to the hallway. You can choose to keep that door locked/unlocked depending on your set-up.

Hickory Home also features A fantastic upper deck! North-west facing, with amazing sunsets! A great evening hangout spot with views of Squa Peak. It overlooks the Ospery Baseball Park just blocks away (Last summer, we listened to the ballgames, Beach Boys, and Bob Dylan, from the comfort of our deck)!

Nice yard.

About Stephanie Boone

We built our home starting August 2008, finished summer 2011. Our goal was to use as many recycled materials as possible, which is why our home has a very unique feel, and with my husband being an artist, it definitely has an artistic touch. Dave is a father/artist/entrepenuer. Steph is a mom/fitness trainer/founder of the girls way in Missoula, and Meyers will be 3 this July!

Stephanie Boone purchased this house in 2008

Why Stephanie Boone chose Missoula

You can't help but take a double look when passing our home. It is a three story/yellow stucco/custom built home with many recycled materials that make it look fun and eccentric at the same time. It is one block from the river trail. 10 minute walk to downtown Missoula. Very close to two grocery stores. A short drive to the hospital, and in the heart of Missoula so everything is very close. You hardly need a car to get around. Our property is set in a quiet neighborhood filled with lots of things to do for the family. McCormick Park is 2 blocks away that includes the Osprey baseball field/Currents water park/a playground/skatepark/walking trails.

What makes this house unique

Our home is in an up and coming neighborhood where there are so many things to do for the whole family, and close to everything you would want to do to make your Missoula visit the best it can be!

The house was perfect for our family reunion! The owners were extremely accommodating !

  • 5 of 5

This property is perfect for families who want to be close to town. Other than the mountains, you can walk to most all of The Missoula activities.

The house had everything we needed, even baby cribs, high chairs and toys for the two toddlers. It was extremely comfortably for 6 adults and two children. As I stated above, Stephanie was right on top of any questions or concerns we had during our stay. My sister lives in Missoula, so the next time we come visit, it will be here!

Graduation weekend.

  • 4 of 5

Although the venue was a bit challenging for my 80 +

year old parents Stephanie came through with accommodations in the kitchen. She even granted a late check out for us which afforded my parents the comfort of her home in lieu of the airport. This house and its owner offered more than expected. Thank you Stephanie and family. See you again sometime Montana!

Great home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Steph,

We were really wowed by your lovely cottage home away from home for the Christmas holiday. We had dinner for seven in your well equipped kitchen on Christmas Eve and then a yummy breakfast the morning of our departure. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds comfy. I'd recommend your house to anyone visiting Missoula. Thanks and Happy New Year!

Family Time

  • 5 of 5

Stephanie,

We had a great time at your house over the longThanksgiving weekend. With all the cooking we did, the large kitchen really worked out well. I enjoyed the story about where all the parts and pieces came from. A great house and location for a family get together.

Thanks,

John

Spectacular feel and comfort.

  • 5 of 5

Stephanie thank you. We enjoyed greatly, our stay at your property. I won't recap every room of the house, as the pictures here are genuine to the feel of Home they convey. Could have lived on the deck, watching the clouds roll in over the mountains to the west. Outstanding view from up there. We appreciated your 3 rooms, their comforts, & the amenities you afford your guests. Proximity to town and the U were exactly what we were looking for. Not to close and not to far. Wonderful home. We will be back.
