Why Alyssa Ashton Shah chose Ione

We fell in love with this specific 10 acre riverfront property after enjoying 20 years of vacation visits to the area. The views are the most spectacular in the area with wide open 360 degrees up the gorgeous Pend Orielle River, Northern Canadian Mountain views , open meadows and beautiful sunsets over the Colville National Forest. The property is a private, rural and quiet get away to nature !

What makes this cabin unique

This area offers a wide variety of spectacular scenery. The views from Abercrombie and Hooknose Mountains are across the Pend Oreille valley and into the Selkirk Mountains of Idaho; across the Columbia River valley and part of the Cascade Range; north into Canada; and south down the ridge towards the upper Pend Oreille and Colville valleys.

If you are wanting waterfront..."NOT A PLACE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN"

  • 1 of 5

The house is great! Clean and has most things you would need. The ad shows a place with a dock which is very misleading. Before booking we were told we would possibly be able to use the dock (mothers next door) but when we were there they told us there was no room. There is a makeshift path to the water..has no beach area and is very muddy..scary for small children! 9:30 on the morning got a call to remind us to BE OUT by 11:00 because the cleaning lady was coming. Found this to be very rude.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your post. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay and that you thought the house was great ! We do apologize that the neighbors dock and beach area was unavailable during your stay ( and good that you remember that this was a possibility... ) We do maintain the property and shoreline each year by removing the mill foil weeds. This makes for clear, fresh and beautiful water the rest of the summer. We hope you will return with your children and family soon ~

Highly recommend. Everything provided for a very comfortable stay. All you need to bring is your clothes. The grocery store in town is adequate and reasonable. Decorated wonderfully and thoroughly with beautiful coordinating items. Luxurious bedding and seating. Very clean. Very private. Allot of extras. Thoughtful owners.
