Cottage, 1 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 4
This charming ocean-view Yachats vacation home makes a lovely getaway for up to four guests. Located just one home away from the beach and less than a mile to shopping and dining in town, this comfortable getaway boasts amazing views of the Pacific from its plentiful windows and cute deck space!
This cozy cottage has plenty of windows to enjoy the view, as well as flood the home with beautiful natural light. In the afternoon sun, a stained glass window lights up with color in the warm and inviting living room. There's a flat screen TV and DVD player for movie nights. There are a number of seating options, including stools, a rocking chair, even an old-timey roll-top desk to occupy and sketch out ocean scenes.
The floor plan downstairs also includes a wooden dining table for four and a basic kitchen for preparing vacation meals. You'll find all major appliances here except for a dishwasher, but you will also have a microwave, blender and coffee maker. And really, there's no better place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee than right in front of the windows or, on a sunny day, out on the deck, or on the outside bench with full view of the ocean's waves rolling in over the rocky shore.
From the landing on the way upstairs, you'll have an amazing view from two large corner windows looking out at the ocean. Younger guests may want to spread out a board game or puzzle on the floor here, or just enjoy the beach scenes from an upright position.
The loft sleeping area has ocean views through both large and decoratively-shaped windows, plus both a queen and a full sized bed. A small bistro table is set up for reading or working on a travel journal, and accessories like snuggly comforters, bright paisley prints, and reading lamps make this a welcome place to retire each evening.
For additional sleeping options, there's also a full-sized futon in the living area of this cute Yachats vacation rental. There are two full baths, a stacked washer and dryer, and the home is even dog-friendly! One well-behaved dog is welcome, though a nightly fee per dog and a minimum fee per stay will apply.
Although beach access right from the back of the home is very steep, an easy trek to the beach can be had just down the road at Yachats Ocean Road Natural Site. From here you'll have both sandy shoreline and rocky tide pool areas. One of the most scenic viewpoints on the coast, there's also opportunities for whale watching, hunting for shells, or just relaxing out on the sand.
When you want to head out for dinner or shopping, the main part of town is just a half mile to the north. Stop in The Drift Inn for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and live music in the evenings. The Green Salmon Coffee Shop is always a good bet for your morning caffeine fix, along with fresh-baked pastries and breads. And while you're downtown, The Wine Place can solve your dilemma of what to drink with dinner that night. You can pick up that perfect bottle to go with either pan-roasted salmon, a big pot of spaghetti with clams, or what ever you're planning that evening.
Other places of interest nearby include Cape Perpetua Scenic Area (less than two miles south) for an afternoon of hiking, a scenic drive 12 miles down Highway 101 to Heceta Head Lighthouse for a tour and a picnic lunch, or head north about 30 minutes to Newport and the world famous Oregon Coast Aquarium.
Come explore beautiful Yachats, one of the most idyllic locations along the Oregon Coast, from the comfort of your own private beach cottage!

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Left A Day Early
I was not crazy about this rental. Needs updating, lighting that doesn't flicker - it felt cold (WAS cold - hard to warm up) and I wasn't crazy about the location.
I loved waking up to the sea right outside the home. No curtains in the loft area so I felt we were sleeping outside.
Nice walk to town.
Everything we hoped it would be
A perfect sized bungalow for our getaway weekend.
Opening two small windows in the loft allowed the sound of the close by surf to fill the room.
No curtains or blinds on the loft level so the beauty of the area fills the room through the generous glass windows.
So much nicer, and larger, than a hotel room.
We wanted to walk to town but the Hwy 101 is narrow. A couple told us there's a path next to the road and that we took and brought us out at the bridge next to town. Perfect!
Very clean. Comfortable. Affordable. Quiet. Can't wait to return in the summer.
The hot tub was empty but it's still "winter" here, tho it's going to be 66F today. Lol. Not sure if it works or not
Great location to explore Cape Perpetua but a tad shabby. The bedroom is in a loft so truly a place for singles or couples only.
The pictures dont do the house in relation to the ocean justice, i mean, its right there! The views from the house were great at any time of the day as well, and at night the ocean waves are like a lullaby lulling you to sleep, it was perfect for our relaxing getaway.
She Said Yes Here!
The entire experience was perfect. Whales, waves, a wonderful little town in Yachats. It swept us away. We will be back!
