About Robert Yagar
I am a California native. I live in Huntington Beach and I take advantage of all that Southern California has to offer.
Robert Yagar purchased this Bungalow in 2013
Why Robert Yagar chose Anaheim Colony Historic District
This property is 101 years old and registered with the city of Anaheim as a Qualified Historic Structure and has been preserved as such. The city awarded the house a plaque proclaiming its historical significance which you can read on the entrance to the home. However, the entire house has been completely remodeled with new appliance, new electrical, and copper plumbing. This house is in the historic section of Anaheim and the neighborhood feels like a vibrant city and you can walk to restaurants, shops, Anaheim Ice skating rink (where the Anaheim Ducks practice and you can too! The building was designed by Frank Gehry so it's worth a look even if you don't skate), and Muzeo Museum within walking distance. The home is spacious with 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It comfortably sleeps 10 people so it is perfect for one large extended family or two small families. There is a private parking garage and an extra parking space. The back yard features a private patio space and fruit trees. 10 people can sit at the dining room table at one time. The house is within 2 miles to Disneyland, Angel Stadium, and the Honda Center. The house is situated within 3 miles of the major freeways: 5, 22, 57, and 91. This is the property to choose if you are coming from out of town and want the total So Cal experience. Why not stay in an original historic California Bungalow and feel and experience the wonderful city of Anaheim. The home is also an excellent choice if you are a local and you want a head start on getting to Disneyland and a close place to retire at the end of the night. Angels have a 3 game series at home and you don't want to miss them. Stay here and make it a mini-vacation.
What makes this Bungalow unique
Location, Location, Location. Anaheim is the heart and soul of Southern California. Many cities in So Cal are sleep residential areas with not much going on. Anaheim features not only the obvious Disneyland, but it also hosts the Los Angeles/California Angels and the Anaheim Ducks. There is much gentrification currently underway in the city which is breathing new life. This is one of the few properties from which you can walk to the Packing House which is a very trendy place to hang out with many places to eat. It is very popular and hard to find parking. Anaheim, unlike any other city in So Cal, FEELS LIKE A REAL CITY!!!

Very convenient location and comfortable home, but with some street noise
We were in town for the ICE rink, so being only a couple minutes away was wonderful. Groceries and restaurants are within walking distance. There was plenty of space for us to sleep and spread our things out. I loved having the large dining table and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was nice to be able to park in the garage. The downsides are that at night, the noise from the street traffic and occasional firetruck/ambulance was too much light sleepers. I used a pair of ear plugs to bed and the problem was solved. The house was clean, but some parts of the kitchen and bathrooms could use either replacement fixtures or paint. Also, some of the towels had a light musty smell from when they are left slightly damp in the dryer for too long. None of these would deter me from staying again though.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage! We had a really quick trip and went to Disneyland and California the three days, so we were gone all day, but it had all of the comforts of home. It is super close to the Parks and Uber is totally the way to go. The location is perfect for everything you need. Close to stores, gas stations, and freeway access. We had 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 3 kids and we all had comfortable beds to sleep on. It was very spacious and had plenty of room for all of us. It was very clean and we loved having a garage to park our car in so it wasn’t sitting out on the street while we were gone. The dining table was actually big enough to accommodate all of us, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We only ate breakfast and one late night dinner at the house, but it was sure nice to have everything there. We would totally stay here again and recommend it for those who have large families like us. Robert was an excellent host and answered what little questions we had. Everything is so well organized that we had no problems at all.
We had an awesome stay!
Home was very spacious and well equipped. Great location. Check in and check out instructions were clear and simple to follow. We had a great time. Thank you!
Clean. Great location. Could use some beds, linens, and pillows. Over all great stay.
Excellent place to stay
It was very clean. The owner is very helpful, accessible and came over right away when the garborator broke.
It’s a great place to stay with the kids as they had a playroom and toys for the beach.
We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at this property for a week on a recent trip to Disneyland. It is well located for Disneyland patrons. We rented a van for this trip and there is private and safe parking in the back yard. The house is located in an excellent neighbourhood, close to grocery shopping and the Packing House District which a fun visit for adults and kids alike.
This property is exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. As a light sleeper, I was somewhat apprehensive about the comments re traffic noise but it was not an issue. We especially appreciated the kitchen basics that are supplied and enjoyed the new stove and clean barbecue. The weather was colder than normal when we visited and were relieved to find extra blankets in all bedroom closets as well as a responsive thermostat and furnace.
Kids loved the ping-pong table. Would absolutely recommend.
Under 3 miles to Disneyland, Anaheim Stadium, Honda Center, Anaheim Convention Center, and the freeways: 5, 22, 57, 91. Close to everything!!! You can walk to Muzeo Museum and the skating rink called Anaheim Ice. If you are lucky you can watch the Anaheim Ducks practice there in a building designed by architect Frank Gehry (think Walt Disney Concert Hall).
