Completely renovated home has that mountain home feel with vaulted Doug Fir ceilings and hardwood floors. Relax in the living room after a long day of boating, swimming, or hiking by watching the 58' mounted screen TV with a Blu-Ray DVD player or out on the front deck to enjoy the setting. Enjoy the gourmet size kitchen complete with dishes, glassware, silverware, pots & pans, coffee maker, toaster, toaster oven, cutlery, crock pit, and the propane gas barbeque grill for the outdoor cooking. In the Game Room, we have a regulation Pool Table with table and bar stools, couch, and TV. The Master bedroom and 2nd bedroom have Cal King beds. The 3rd bedroom/Den area has a Queen bunk bed and regular bunk bed with direct access to 3rd bathroom. The Game Room couch is a Queen size sofa sleeper. The Game Room coffee table doubles as a single bed when unfolded. The bathrooms have stone tile walls and floors and granite counter tops. Ping Pong Table in the garage.

Why Mike & Sharon chose Shasta Lake

Location, location, Location! We spent 2 years looking for the right house that provided easy access to Interstate 5, grocery store (in case we forgot something), and local eateries to enjoy the company of other people who enjoy this area. We found it in Lakehead and this home.

What makes this house unique

This home offer sleeping for 10 but more importantly, the living area and kitchen area is not small. You will have lots of room to roam and not feel crowded. The home has very easy access to the lake and the driveway, though right off of the main street, Lakeshore Drive, we have a long and large open driveway for plenty of parking as well as a flat boat trailer pad.

Great Location, Well Appointed, and Easy to Work With Owners

First of all location is spot on, the house was amazingly well appointed with everything we needed and more. On that subject we often find owner occupied vacation rentals tend to have a lot of chachskies which we find ourselves "putting away" for our stay, not so here with the exception of some silk plants but hey some people are still into those :-). The place was uncluttered and much larger than you would perceive from the pictures.

Our group vacillated from 5 up to 11 over the course of our eight day stay and we never felt crowded. Being a foodie we found the appliances and cookware top notch and there were enough place settings to feed an army! Plenty of kitchen towels, potholders and the like, even can coozies to keep those frosty beverages cold. Attention to detail was prevalent with all light switch's labeled and most items having available instructions on their use, it is obvious these owners care. There were even two frosty glasses in the freezer! Linens and towels were of hotel quality.

The neighborhood was quiet and all we encountered during our stay were very friendly, parking is more than ample. The landscaping while spartan is well cared for. The outdoor areas included a nice deck complete with plenty of chairs and two tables as well as a gas fireplace and a propane BBQ in great shape for use. There is a veranda off the master suite as well.

Communication with the owners was timely and concise, our deposit promptly returned. This is a great rental that we would not hesitate staying in again.

Great location, beautiful home

We stayed at this Lakeshore Drive home in June 2016. The house was very clean, beautifully furnished, tastefully decorated and exceedingly comfortable. Although the posting says it is a 2Bd, there is a 3rd bedroom that isn't technically a bedroom because it doesn't have a closet but it has 2 bunks, one with twin beds and one with a twin and a double or queen. There is also an attached bathroom.

All the bathrooms and the kitchen appear to have been recently remodeled with granite counters and high end cabinetry.

The owner provided adequate paper towels, dish soap and pretty much everything you could need except food. We were very comfortable in the home

Two problems we had were the WiFi didn't work very well but I think that's more an issue with the cable in the area. We also weren't given access to the elevator, which is understandable since we are capable of climbing stairs. It would have been nice for moving in with all our stuff and moving out at the end of the week but we powered through it. If we come back with grandparents it would be more important to have necause the stairs are very steep.

Owner's Response: Thank you, We are glad you enjoyed our home. We have debated on the use of the elevator. If you rent our home again we will consider the use of the elevator I know going up and the stairs is a lot.

Outstanding experience.

Our family of eight had (four adults and four college age) a wonderful time The house was beautifully decorated and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The elevator was a major assistances for a two story house and for those of us more senior grandparents. The lake level was our only problem because we wanted to store our boats under cover at Holiday Harbor. Next year we will simply moor our boats at the nearby Silver thorn Marina just below the house. The owners were extremely helpful and very responsive with our minor questions. Every thing you will need in the kitchen is available. Can't wait till next year. We have 30 years experience of renting house boats and houses and this was the best.

The Lakehead area offers public launching facilities as well as 2 private marinas that provide boat slips for rent on a daily basis. You can enjoy the Lakehead restaurants for some great food and periodic nightly entertainment during the Memorial Day to Labor Day season. The historic McCloud and Mount Shasta areas are just a 30 to 40 minute drive up the I5 highway. Our home is easily accessible off Lakeshore Drive and our property provides parking for up to 6 vehicles and 1 boat trailer pad. Take your morning walks across the street directly to the Shasta Lake shoreline. Just minutes from Interstate 5, grocery store, area restaurants
