Welcome to Kona Isle #C22. We are the new owners of this unit and have completely remodeled our lovely 1 bedroom, 1 bath home with tasteful, island-style furniture and art, new appliances, granite countertops in the kitchen and bath. It is located on the second floor, in a cool, quiet part of this friendly, 74-unit, tranquil, oceanside complex with a partial ocean and lovely garden view from our lanai. Our new Hawaiian home is fully stocked with all conveniences and has new appliances, cookware, utensils, etc. There is a nice pool and barbecue area on the west facing shore which is wonderful for watching sunsets, dolphins and whales. Onsite free parking is available and shopping and the town is within two miles. This is a great location for exploring the Big Island of Hawaii. Within a few miles there is a fantastic snorkeling spot, Kahalu'u Beach Park. It is an easy, 45-minute drive north to the beautiful beaches in the Waikoloa area. Ocean activities are available at nearby Keauhou Bay, Kailua Bay, or Honokohau Harbor. Kilauea Volcano, waterfalls, and botanical gardens are located north and east of Kailua-Kona approximately 90 miles away with beautiful, scenic drives. Tours can also be booked at the resort adjacent to Kona Isles.

Our family has visited the Big Island regularly over the past 30 years and it was our dream to have our own home when we retired. We were privileged to be able to purchase this Kona Isle Unit and be able to remodel and upgrade it to enjoy it as our very comfortable Hawaiian home. We look forward to sharing it with you.

Kona Isle is a beautiful, well-maintained, friendly condominium complex where owners and property management are jointly committed to maintaining all aspects of the complex to a high standard. The majority of visitors to this resort are mature couples of diverse backgrounds seeking extraordinary tropical beauty and relaxation. You can hear the sea sounds at night, and smell floral fragrance anytime of the day. The gardens, pool area, oceanfront BBQ and beach areas are hard to leave. It is amazing to be able to wake up every morning to a cup of Kona Coffee on the lanai and wander to the oceanfront where you may see dolphins, whales, and para-sailers. In the evening, sunset clouds paint the horizon with brilliant pinks, reds and an occasional green glint. This is truly a tropical paradise!

What makes this condo unique

Kona Isles is ideally located on the ocean side of historic Ali'i Drive. If you enjoy a good walk or ride on the local tram, two miles north will bring you to old Kailua-Kona town with restaurants, shops, galleries, and historic buildings. Pride in Hawaiian ancestry is evident everywhere. Walking south from Kona Isles will bring you to the Keauhou area of the western shore where ancient Hawaiian settlements are being reclaimed from commercial interests and undergoing restoration. If you are a snorkeler or fisherman, this is your place for day after day of visits to different locations easily reached by car, boat or a good walk.

Great Condo, nicely renovated.

As a long time visitor to Kona Isle I was more than pleasantly surprised when I booked with Wally and Jean. I normally have stayed Oceanside (no a/c) with the same owner for years , but now that I travel in the summer, A/C is a must have. The pictures on the VRBO sight are exactly how you will find this condo. Beautiful! All appliances are in working order and new. Really comfortable bed. The bathroom is a dream! Beautiful walk in shower and spacious vanities. Really nice since my stays are usually a month long. My son and his family (who live in Kona), were equally impressed with the unit as they have spent a lot of time in others I have leased over the years. Wally and Jean have thought of everything. I am an avid cook and baker and enjoy this activity with my two granddaughters. We had everything we needed including a little step-stool the 2 year old found next to the washer!

Needless to say, this is my new go-to unit. Wally and Jean are wonderful, easy to get in touch with owners who return emails and phone calls promptly. You will not be disappointed!

** Just a little tip from a Florida girl on the A/C. If you use one of the tower fans and place it next to the fridge on the broom closet side, a little bit out in the hallway, it will push the cool air back to the bedroom to keep it nice and comfy (I also close the bathroom door). LOVE the fact that the A/C is on a timer. What an energy saver!**

We found paradise

To make it short: This condo is a dream. The owners let us stay there for 10 days in October 2015 and it was absolutely perfect. We felt at home from the second we walked in the door. The condo is incredibly well appointed, you definitely will find everything you need and more (we desperately needed pliers: of course there is a whole tool box in one of the closets). The bed is comfy with soft, great smelling sheets, plenty of towels, kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. The bathroom has a beautiful, brand-new walk-in shower. We never used the A/C since the are plenty of fans, which keep you comfortable in the balmy, warm Kona air. There is a gorgeous spot on the ground behind the building where you can watch the amazing sunsets and barbecue at the same time. The grounds are well kept and quiet. Contact with the owners was perfect, easy and fun. Even 24 endless hours on a plane won´t stop us from coming back as soon as possible!!

Lovely place to stay on vacation!

Kona Isle and this condo unit are beautifully maintained and make for very peaceful surroundings.

This was our first trip to Hawaii and we had a fantastic vacation! We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this condo. It is neat, clean, organized, and nicely decorated (just like photos). We were very comfortable. Additionally, the grounds of Kona Isle are gorgeous. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai every morning and were constantly soothed by the sounds of the ocean. It's so relaxing here!

We had a rental car and went out sightseeing most days. We visited Volcanoes National Park twice (so many great hikes and things to see). We also spent several more days exploring various regions of the island. Punalu’u black sand beach on the southern part of the island and the drive north through Waimea and to Hilo were great – lots of diversity and amazing scenery in one island! We also enjoyed snorkeling at Kahalu'u; we saw lots of fish and turtles.

The rental process, instructions, procedures etc. all went smoothly and the owners are very nice to work with. We hope to return for vacation here in the future!

Exceeded Expectations

I recently stayed in this condo for 8 days and highly recommend it. I have already told two people about it who are planning trips to Kona. The unit is very clean and the pictures are all true. It's tastefully decorated and the well-appointed kitchen and bathroom are both great. There is good water pressure in the shower, always important to me. The ocean view from the balcony is a treat and sitting on the chaise lounges set up by the ocean is an ideal place to watch the sunset. Town is only a 20-25 minute walk and you will encounter many walkers/runners along the way. I did have a rental car and did not have trouble parking anywhere. Once you get the lay of the land, parking in town or at the beaches is pretty easy. If you don't want to hassle with that, take the trolley that travels a route to all the hot spots nearby.

DO NOT MISS snorkeling at kahalu'u beach, just a 7 minute drive (or trolley stop) from the condo. I spent over $100 for a boat snorkeling trip and there were more fish at Kahalu'u Beach!!!

We have stayed in this unit for several years. New owners in Sep. they completely remodeled the unit and it is very, very nice and beautiful! Kitchen is well furnished with everything, except food!! Living room, is very comfortable and decorations are very nice! Bathroom and bed room have all the linens and towels you will need! Owners gave us a complete layout of condo, what was in each cubboard and closets, which was very helpful! Everything is very nice, we enjoyed our stay very much, in the newly remolded unit! We would recommend staying in this unit. We have already booked for next year! The owners are very nice and answers all your questions in a timely manner!
