850 Sq. Ft. Loft Condo With Mountain Views In The Heart Of Salt Lake City
If you have been surfing VRBO for the perfect Salt Lake City property, you needn’t look further. You have just landed on the jewel of loft condos in downtown Salt Lake City (327 West 200 South). This beautifully renovated urban chic condo is within walking distance of the Gateway Shopping Center, Energy Solutions Arena, and Salt Palace Convention Center.
Salt Lake Valley’s light rail system (Traxx) is on the corner and has a stop coming from the airport two blocks away. It is five blocks from Temple Square and the new City Creek Shopping Center. With all of the 'Big City' conveniences, it's hard to believe that there are a dozen world class ski resorts within an hour’s drive. If you're looking for the perfect base camp for your next Utah ski vacation, this condo could be the ideal fit.
As of this writing (Jan 2014), this condo has undergone a COMPLETE makeover by one of SLC's most sought after designers. With new paint, carpet, hardwood floors, cabinets, quartz countertops, appliances as well as a total re-do of the bathroom. There was not a single thing in the apartment that was not replaced. It is BRAND NEW!
The condo has been professionally decorated resulting in an open loft feeling you will be hard to find at this price. Secure parking, WiFi, full size washer/dryer, DirecTV and more.

Why Jennifer Thornton chose Rio Grande
As a young married couple attending the University of Utah, we fell in love with downtown Salt Lake City, and always talked about being able to buy a little 'Urban Cabin' one day in the center of SLC. In 2008, we were fortunate enough to find this beautiful little condo, and have absolutely loved it. Whenever we are looking for a little escape from Suburbia, it's nice to be able to head to the 'Big City' for a couple of days. We love being within walking distance to all of the arts, restaurants, and entertainment in SLC.
What makes this Condo unique
Our building sits in what is called the Warehouse District of SLC. The building is over 100 years old, and is the original home of an old toy manufacturer. The building was converted to condos in the 1990's but retained much of the original architecture. The exposed brick and beams make it one of the most unique condo buildings in SLC. We literally searched every condo project in SLC before we settled on this building. It's so unique. We just love it. You can't beat the location either. We are literally walking distance to everything in downtown SLC.

Incredible place in the perfect location
I rented this unit for a conference I was attending at Grand/Little America. The cost was cheaper than the downtown hotels and certainly without the hassle that comes with a hotel. The unit is very clean and well decorated, perfect for a small group or couple. It is conveniently located near everything in downtown and Leas than a $10 Uber to get most anywhere in town. Jennifer was very helpful in providing favorite restaurants convenient for my stay. I would highly recommend staying in this unit, or any unit, that Jennifer owns/manages. Great experience. Thanks Jennifer!!!! I will definitely be reaching out the next trip I make back to SLC.
Efficient use of space with updraded furnishings
Location is the best to take advantage of city life and commute for skiing. Very safe. Love the neighborhood theatres, burger joints, breakfast spots, and bakeries. Not quite 5 stars because of the lack of separation between the sleeping and living areas, i.e., partition, sliding barn door.
I would stay here again
The condo was just as advertised. Very clean and well maintained. Perfect for a couple. I wish the bed was a king (that would have made it a 5 star), but it was advertised as a queen, so at least I knew what I was getting.
Amazing Couple's Retreat
My wife and I came here for the second time and it was stellar. Quiet, calm, modern, and sleek. Everything we could have asked for. Check-in and check-out were seamless. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. We will be back!
Comfortable Modern and Clean Downtown Condo
My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway. We went skiing a couple days and then spent the rest of the trip in Salt Lake. We walked to a Jazz game the first night. We also walked to supper each night as there are a ton of restaurants within walking distance of the condo. It was a great location and a very comfortable space to relax. Highly recommend to anyone visiting SLC!
Highly recommend this condo!
This condo is close right in the center of the SLC downtown action. We loved our stay, very comfortable and clean. Fully gated with restricted access makes us feel safe. Looking forward to our next stay.
This condo is perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. Walking distance to restaurants, movie theaters, bars, the Salt Palace Convention Center, and Temple Sauare. With all of these local amenities within walking distance, it's hard to believe that you are also within 25 miles of 10 world class ski resorts.
