Loved this place and Ivan was very accommodating I totally recommend it! Steve also from afar! Thanks gents! 😋👍🏻
Condo is everything we expected and more!
Steve is a very engaged owner. Answers communication, usually within a few minutes. No problems with the unit, communications were more of a travel advice nature.
Kitchen a product of someone that enjoys cooking, if you needed a tool, it was there! Pantry loaded with spices and flavorings of all kinds. Large refrigerator freezer combo with drinking water and ice through the door. 5 burner gas range/ oven easy to use.
No air conditioning but ocean breeze was perfect after walking in from our days exploring the area. Don't expect needing extra blankets to stay warm at night. Do expect musical entertainment from the streets below long into the night, especially on Fri and Sat nights!
Extra bonus was a couple bicycles for our use. Enjoyed riding over to San Clemente, the local mall and down the beach at low tide maybe 6 to 8 miles watching locals seeking oysters. Perfect for riding locally but nothing you would want to take off on a100k trip on!
Bahia was devastated during the 2016 earthquake and is slowly recovering. There must be an election coming soon as there was serious construction happening to repair sidewalks and streets in town😉. Locals said it happens every year before voting.
People are friendly, easy to find produce and fruit. Seafood abounds; be to the central market early! We enjoy cooking but there are plenty of places to eat out. Felt safe the entire time but visitors need to remember there are very poor people that might exploit carelessness.
Thanks for the kind words and great insight on the condo and the area Jon. It was an absolute pleasure to have you and Pat as our guests. Safe travels.

Great week in a great location
Nice unit. All the amenities of home. Great location and sounds of the ocean all day and night. Good food within walking distance. Owner is on site and very amenable. Would definitely come back.
Great place to stay in Bahia
This is a lovely, secure apartment in a great location. It is well equipped with just about everything you can think of in the kitchen! It does not have AC, however, there is a constant ocean breeze making it very pleasant. The balcony doors open wide and there are windows in both bedrooms and the kitchen. There were 4 of us, 2 couples. We paid an extra $10 for the water we used. The owner is delightful to work with. He responds almost immediately to emails. There are attendants in the building 24 hours (or so it seemed) and they are very helpful with directions, suggestions, calling a taxi, etc. Would definitely rent here again.
Thanks for the kind and thoughtful review. Marcia and her group left the condo as clean as when they arrived and were a pleasure to host. You are all welcome back any time!!

We were pleasantly surprised with the condo. Had spent 5 days previously in Quito in a private home and this felt like luxury. Clean, had hot water for showers. Nice to be able to use a washer and dryer. Good restaurants within walking distance. Manager was helpful. Use caution with washing dishes. Make sure you use bleach to wash and rinse both dishes, fruit and veges. No air conditioning but a constant breeze took care of that.
Hi Faye and thanks so much for your positive review. I am very fortunate to have a wonderful manger in Miriam look after guests when I am out of the country. I wanted to comment on the bleaching of dishes and veggies. I lived in the condo for two years straight and always did dishes in the sink or dishwasher with the water from the tap and never had an issue. I did and still do wash any fruit or veggie in tap water mixed with a few drops of "Kilol" which is an all natural pure grapefruit seed extract and is available in all of the local stores. Maybe there was a issue with the city water while you were visiting? Anyways thanks again for the positive and informative review.

This was a very nice, well equipped condo. We really enjoyed our stay. A beautiful view, close to restaurants. Easy trips to nearby beach towns such as Canoa. Owner very nice to deal with. Would highly recommend this condo.
