Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was so welcoming and quaint. The grounds were so beautiful. I loved the quietness of the cabin. We had a true "up north" experience. We loved being so close to the beach and rode our bikes there every day. Pictured rocks and many waterfalls are nearby. We felt so in touch with nature. We spent an entire day at the beach with our boys and then came home to bbq and a fire. There are places to hook a portable hammock and I was so happy I brought mine! The following day we saw 8 waterfalls and did the riptide boat ride, which was a blast for the whole family! During our stay we saw two eagles, a white tailed deer, multiple butterflies and dragon flies on the property and many fish. Horseshoe falls is great for kids and it had a scavenger hunt along with a pond to feed the fish. What a great trip and stay!

The Perfect Honeymoon

  • 5 of 5

My new husband and I came up for our honeymoon to The Hideaway Cabin. Our hosts were absolutely wonderful. We arrived fairly late but they checked to make sure that we had gotten in okay. The area is surrounding by kayaking, canoeing, and is a quick drive to Munising and the surrounding areas. I asked for suggestions of places to eat and I received a quick answer with wonderful places by our hosts. Not that you have to eat out, as the kitchen is fully functional and is close enough to a grocery store. It seemed they had thought of everything with games, books, and movies. We will definitely stay again and for longer!

Great retreat at the end of a day at Pictured Rocks, Marquette, etc...

  • 5 of 5

Our family, including 2 boys ages 11 and 13, very much enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway. It was very clean and cozy. Beds are very important to us, and the boys could easily share their room, and slept well in separate twin beds. Our king was comfortable too, with lots of storage space. We enjoyed reading some of the books there, and the boys played Battleship(the exact edition I had as a kid from the 70s!) Kitchen with petite frig. and table accommodated our breakfast nibbles, and the bathroom and shower were updated and very clean and easy to use. My one problem with this property was that neither of our cell phones worked there so we could not plan out the next day what we were going to do, or even call anyone to inquire about reservations, restaurants, etc... Since one of my son has food allergies, we always like to research restaurants in advance. Also, when my husband took our car to go somewhere, I didn't like being at the cabin alone with no phone, and I never saw another soul around us, though there were other cabins close by, and the quiet highway was close by too. Other than that, loved the property. Our phones are AT & T so maybe other phones will work there. Or they could install a land line.

Loved the Hideaway!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Hideaway! My husband and I came for a long weekend and the cabin was a perfect place to stay. The location is great with so much to enjoy in Au Train, Munising and Marquette. The cabin was clean, cozy and equipped with all you would need for a comfortable stay. It is evident that the owners put a lot of thought and care into making this a great place to stay for their guests. We will be returning sometime in the future!
