Clean, quiet cabin

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a very quiet, peaceful time at the cabin. I was impressed with how clean it was and that it didn't have any musty "cabin" smell. It was right on the lake and so nice to wake up and have coffee on the deck. Even disturbed an eagle one morning! The kitchen is extremely well-stocked. It's not too far from the Sweetwater, and we could hear the band faintly one night, but other wise it was quiet. We loved it. We were looking for a comfortable place, and this was it.

Cabin

  • 4 of 5

Our cabin was clean and very comfortable and we had a very relaxing stay. Just a couple comments though, was wondering why our cabin did not have a window air conditioner. From talking with the other families in the other cabins, they all had window units. There were a few nights where it got really stuffy in the bedrooms. The ceiling fans did absolutely nothing to cool the rooms. Also, our reception on the TV was horrible. We were out all day long boating, fishing, tubing, kayaking and jet skiing and at the end of the day when the kids were in bed, it would have been nice to be able to turn the TV on and get a decent picture for the 2 channels we got. Didn't happen. There were 3 nights where we received absolutely nothing on the TV.

All in all, we did enjoy the area and cabin. Thank you

Comfortable & Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We had a comfortable and relaxing week staying at this cabin on Duck Lake. The cabin is clean and well-maintained, and the owner was very pleasant to communicate with regarding our stay! We're already planning on staying again next year!

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying with us. You are welcome to return. And as you requested, your nephew is welcome to stay in our other cabin at the same time. Pat and Bob

Great vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

We love staying here. We have rented both cottages for about 6 years and can say if you rent one or both

you will not be disappointed. They are conveniently located on the lake with a beach/swimming area which is especially nice for children. Good fishing right off the piers and walking distance from the pirate ship and a bar/restaurant. Cottages are clean and nicely furnished and comfortably fit our two groups of 9.
