About Tom

I enjoy sharing the best of Laguna Beach. I provide a list of must see highlights, whether your are looking for a quiet spot for Jazz and sunset, or a more energetic vibe. There are hidden coves and beaches if you know where to look.

Tom purchased this house in 2001

Why Tom chose Laguna Beach

This location is awesome because the hill rises right up from the beach. The rhythm of the surf is ever present, even with doors and windows closed. You're in a quiet neighborhood near the end of the street, great for walks. Spot lights on the beach, rocks and waves below, as well as city lights along the coast add animation to make the night view sparkle.

What makes this house unique

Fall asleep with the soundtrack of the waves below. Year around sunsets because of the home's prominent hillside location

Easy walk to restaurants, beaches, and a vast open space preserve.

View was nice!

  • 3 of 5

This owner occupied property has a nice view and is in a great location. The owner was welcoming. Furnishings are average. Prior to our arrival for a week long stay the cleaning service could have done a better job to prepare the rental.

Owner's Response: I take the rental of my place seriously and pride myself on providing a clean and welcoming home. Constructive feedback is always appreciated and to make sure the cleaners do an excellent job at making it clean and inviting, I now do a walk through before guests arrive.

Great Family Vacation Rental

  • 5 of 5

My wife, two teenage daughters and I had a great time staying here and Tom (the owner) gave everything a personal touch by greeting us when we arrived. The house was nicely furnished and the locations was great. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Great property for our family destination wedding!

  • 4 of 5

We totally enjoyed our visit to Laguna and this house suited our needs perfectly. Tom was spot on and didn't leave any surprises once we arrived. The house was exactly as indicated on the listing. One thing, being from South Florida, we didn't expect was no AC; however, we didn't miss it at all! Cool temps at night as well as sweet ocean breezes during the day were an awesome change for us. We would highly recommend this property. :)

Spectacular views and great location

  • 5 of 5

This house is very comfortable and you can't beat sleeping with windows open and listening to the waves. We loved the location- it's a short 10 or so minute walk to some great coved beaches. Tom, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. It's also close to a great bakery with cronuts and Papa's Tacos!

Exactly what we wanted!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was exactly as Tom describes. The ocean was our lullaby every night as we slept; our food tasted just a little better with the ocean view. The beaches were close and an easy two-min drive. Tom is the perfect host and will give you all the inside info, including great hiking trails right up the street. Excellent, and will plan on staying there again. Thanks Tom!

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

I used to think we needed to stay within a couple blocks of Laguna's main beach to experience the best the town had to offer -- until we stayed at Tom's place. There's no way to capture the view and the vibe in photos. In fact, skip the main beach and head down West St. to the two connected beaches just below the house for much more pleasant walking and jogging. Tom knows all the great hikes and keeps the house in excellent shape. We will be back!

Laguna Beach is the jewel of the Orange County coast. You'll find breathtaking bluff top parks, the famous Pageant of the Masters art show, art exhibits, galleries and live music. World class restaurants and live theater. Enjoy a walk on beaches/coves, or check out 17 thousand acres of wilderness/open space. The trails are an easy walk from the house. This hiking area has 360 degree views of the inland mountains, valleys, and the blue Pacific. Laguna has wide sandy beaches, and I'll point out the access to lesser known small rocky coves.

Disney Land, amusement parks, and other attractions of Orange County, are within 30 minutes. Los Angeles and San Diego Couny's attractioins such as Hollywood, Universal Studios, and Balboa Park/Zoo are about an hour away.

Take a day trip to Avalon on Catalina Island by ferry. Service from Dana Point is 2 miles from the house.
