A great place to stay when you're a way from home.

  • 4 of 5

The youngest in our family were unhappy with the WiFi connection which didn't effect this grandmother at all, and all other accommodations were terrific.

The location is great. We were close to most of the attractions we were on vacation to see, and easy traveling to those a little further away. This house is certainly large enough for the 10 it sleeps, but the sleeping arrangements aren't ideal for the last two. Everything was comfortable, plentiful, and convenient. We made great use of the grill and front patio which were a plus. (I had a horrific experience with another VRBO account while setting up this vacation, and was very happy that this transaction went so well at the last minute.)

Thanks so much, Kristen and Jessie, for making our time memorable.

Just enough, not too much

  • 4 of 5

This little house is a great spot for a family home base when travelling through the Black Hills. It is about 5mins to Hill City, 10mins to Keystone, 15mins to Mt. Rushmore. Also nearby is fishing, horseback riding, lots of other activities and also breweries/winery for the adults. The house is cozy, has everything you need. There is a small playground for the kids. Kristen was easily available to assist with anything we needed but didn't bother us at all while we were there. One thing that you can't tell very well from the pictures is more about the actual location of this cabin. It is on a campground RIGHT ON THE ROAD. It is not secluded at all and does not give you the feeling of a "cabin in the woods." I wish I had known this ahead of time. That is the only thing I can say that I wish was different, everything else was great!
