About: We had always wanted to visit Charleston and when our daughter decided to go to school in South Carolina we decided now is our chance. We fell in love with the city. So much history, great food, warm weather and friendly people. Originally from North Yorkshire, England, Charleston immediately felt like 'home' - the history, beautiful architecture and the 'small town' feeling was exactly like being back in Europe.
Why French Quarter, Charleston, SC, USA:
There were a few criteria when we started looking for a property...1) Downtown so we could walk everywhere... 2) New/renovated, we were not looking for a project to fix up; yet currently living in a 200 year old Cape we needed character and history! 3) outdoor living...this property has a great balcony that overlooks St Phillips. Perfect for breakfast as the sun rises; gorgeous spot to read after walking the historic streets; and fascinating to watch the horse and carriages and the folk exploring as we sip on a cocktail before dinner.
