2 weeks in Arthurs seat

  • 2 of 5

The house is cool and breezy and the property provides many good fans as well. However, there are lots of small things that can be done to improve the quality of ones stay here.

1. there are no hooks or places to hang towels/wet swimsuits etc. anywhere bar one towel rail in bathrooms for hand towels

2. the kitchen lacks a decent can opener and wine bottle opener- talk about ruining an evening when you spend 20 mins trying to get into your bottle of wine, only to end up with a gash on your finger and wine full of cork bits!

3. The pool was never cleaned once we were there- which would have probably been fine normally- but it was very windy and debris from the trees was constantly blowing in. I had to skim it myself every time we used it, as there were small dead frogs at the bottom and loads of leaves, and blossoms from the mango tree.

4. The lawn was not mowed- which meant that our small daughter did not enjoy going outside as the grass was up to her knees

5. The house has sash windows, most of which no longer stay open unless propped up by something and many of the locks on the widows are broken so we did not feel it was safe to leave valuables in the house.

The house has potential to be nice but needs updating and repairs, though the village is quite noisy, the people are friendly and the location is nice and central.

lovely rental, great location

  • 5 of 5

We rented out both the 3 bed bungalow and the 2 bed house, I did a review for both as one package already. This review is for the 3 bed bungalow. The property was perfect for us as 2 members of the group needed a property which offered disability assistance with respect to stairs, parking, etc. The bungalow offered all the facilities we require.

The rental plot was perfect for us, lovely gardens, pool and location.

The caretaker who looked after us was very helpful and was always their when needed. Property was clean and well-maintained and the owner provided and excellent service. Rental value was ver good. We will be pleased to use it again

Great Trip June 2012

  • 4 of 5

I booked this property for my friend and her family's first family trip to Barbados. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the property and had a very comfortable stay. We would definitely stay there again on future trips to Barbados and possibly try the property in Jamaica at some point. A shout out to Mr. Lucky the caretaker, he was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions or concerns. Wonderful trip.

Christmas Barbados Style

  • 4 of 5

Having just returned from a two week stay in the bungalow section of this property I can only say that the property came up to expectations with regards to facilities, but with two boys in the 10-14 year age group the idea of managing without a car was not for us, but we got over that problem using a car hire company taken from a list provided by Mr Yarde. Also arriving at dusk on Christmas Eve does not help with first impressions as the island obviously closes on Christmas Day, which we knew from previous visits, and finding food without transport was a challenge but once we found the main road the "mini-bus" got us in to Bridgetown in the usual hell raising way, for some food shopping. Come Christmas Day morning with the sun shining and the neighbourhood seen clearly we were happier with our situation. The accomodation was very acceptable with a much appreciated pool and games room that the boys enjoyed and the neighbours were very friendly. We would have no hesitation in returning to "Eullen Ville" if we were to return to Barbados, but we do think that a car should be considered as advisable. Anyhow a car does give you a chance to visit the many quiet out of he way beaches and places of interest such as Harrisons Cave, plus try many of the good restaurants that are spread across the island.

March 2010 holiday experience

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four adults thoroughly enjoyed a two week stay at Eullen Ville at Arthurs Seat. Whilst located away from the busy beaches it provided for an extremely relaxing hoiday with a large garden area in a tranquil setting. We were impressed by the friendliness of the local neighbourhood who made us feel very welcome to their local area. Mr Lucky was exceptionally helpful when we encountered any minor problems and he was readily available to assist us at any time. The faciities within the property were excellent and we were so impressed that we have again booked the poperty for our next hoiday in February 2011. We have actively recommended this property and the Owners Direct site to friends, colleagues and other holidaymakers we have met on our othr travels abroad.

Fantastic ! Cannot wait to stay again!

  • 5 of 5

We recently visit Barbados for a week in May . We rented both villas ( Yardes & Eullen ).Our family had an absolutely fantastic time thanks to the staff and accommodations. The rooms was very clean and the grounds were incredibly nice. The staff( mr lucky) was very accommodating as we arrived 2 hours early for check-in, but he was able to ensure that the two villas was clean and assist us with our baggage.

The villas was in a great location ( 10 minutes). to the beach and the capital - bridgetown). Rigjht in the middle of the West coast with all its attractions.

Great place we will stay again.
