About Amy Greener

Hi I'm Amy Greener and along with my husband Rick, we own and self-manage our 5 cabins in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Our goal is to give you the best vacation rental experience ever. We hope to retire to the Smokies someday but for now, this is our family business and it keeps us busy! Rick is a hydraulics sales engineer and the technical mind in our family. I'm the art-sy one with a long career as a voice talent but more recently a professional photographer who specializes in real estate and vacation rentals. We would love to be your hosts at GrandView.

Amy Greener purchased this cabin in 2004

Why Amy Greener chose East

GrandView has the best of both worlds...it's just a couple miles from the parkway but you'd never know it. It's such a peaceful, quiet location that you'll feel like the world just plain went away. Located on top of a mountain ridge on a dead end street, the view from the deck is priceless and we hope you enjoy it there as much as we do.

What makes this cabin unique

In December 2006, our talented builders/friends from Michigan spent almost 2 weeks here to totally rebuild the decks. The view is truly beautiful year 'round. We constructed a roof over the hot tub on the side of the cabin so no matter what the weather, you can enjoy it without wind, rain or snow being a nuisance. GrandView offers comfortable hotel-quality beds that provide a good night's sleep--even the bunk beds for the kids. The location is only 2.5 miles from the very last traffic light in Pigeon Forge so it's very convenient and the roads are in excellent condition. No gravel, ruts, pot holes (at least, as of December 2014 ;)

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Guests,

Seems like we've worked countless hours and late nights to make improvements, repairs and updates to GrandView. So if you're a recent guest, we'd be most appreciative if you'd leave a comment or testimonial in this online guestbook. Thank you for taking the time to leave an entry and we hope you enjoyed your vacation!

Great view, comfortable house

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful, relaxing long weekend at Grandview. It truly lived up to the name--we saw many different colors of the mountains from the big, beautiful deck. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, and the living area and kitchen (when we decided to stay indoors) were lovely. We would definitely come here again!

This is a great property with a beautiful view of the mountains, clean, and well equipped.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed four nights to do some hiking in the park, relax, and view the eclipse. The property is ideally located to Pigeon Forge and the park with an excellent view of the mountain range from the two level deck. The cabin was very clean and well equipped.

Well equipped with stunning views!!

  • 4 of 5

This house has everything you could possibly need & the owner has been incredibly helpful from the first enquiry. It is very well equipped & the views are simply stunning! I must admit I thought the living room would be bigger from the pictures, but we had such good weather most of the time that if we were at the house we sat on the deck. The DVD collection was appreciated by the kids after long days of sight seeing!

Very clean. Comfortable cabin

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed our stay greatly. Very short drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge attractions. Clean well maintained. 4 adults and 2 kids were comfortable. No need to bring anything...they have everthing here.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the super review, Chris. It always is heartwarming to read that guests felt they had everything they needed there at the cabin. We try to think of details as much as possible and add new items or features as we discover new ones lol. If you return to the Smokies, we would love to host your family again!

Family summer vacation 2017

  • 5 of 5

Amazing cabin in the woods. This was our first family trip (including the dog) to Tennessee and we had a great time. The cabin was comfortable and the view was breathtaking. The beds and linens were soft and the cabin was super clean! We had everything we needed from the crockpot to the laundry soap (which was probably left by the previous renters but that was ok). Amy kept us informed and was very helpful. The booking process went smoothly and the only issue we had was the internet. But, we have Verizon so I just went outside to check my Facebook account :). If you have kids that like to watch netflix, download everything before arrival and make sure your netflix setting is set up to use without internet...this way the kids could keep watching their faves and we didn't run over the usage. The neighbors were great too, very friendly and helpful (thanks Mary!).

Owner's Response: Thanks so much! It's great to know you enjoyed the cabin and the views. I try to keep the laundry detergent replenished, so hopefully that was the bottle I left. If not, I am grateful to the previous guests for leaving some behind :) Yes, the internet here is not ideal. We have limited bandwidth with Verizon cellular MiFi service and it's no good for streaming or watching videos. I wish we could have cable service up here on the mountain but a certain cable provider says there aren't enough homes to make it worthwhile. Thanks for being so gracious and understanding. We'd love to have your family back anytime!

Great views without being too far from anything.

  • 4 of 5

We were looking for a nice cabin with some friends and were hoping to bring our dog Jinx. All five of us loved this place. The drive up can be a little scary but the views were beautiful. The only complaint about the cabin would be the internet was a little sketchy and only 3 devices could connect at any time. Made it difficult to share pictures and communicate with loved ones.

Even though you are in the mountains with few houses around you are never more than ten minutes from Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Would definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: Dan, thanks for the review! Glad to hear you enjoyed the cabin, the views and the location. Yes, our internet is cell-based Verizon service and we are in a location that doesn't have much signal. The mountains are tough geography for those cell towers to bounce the signal around. For any of our guests who need really fast and reliable internet service, we have 5 cabins with cable modem service that may be a better fit. Just ask and we'll give you the listings numbers for those cabins.
